My first post here, though i have been learning from the forum for years.
I have checked with Bangalore dealers for 2024 models; discount is ranging from 2.5 to 3 Lakhs. Out side of Bangalore in KA, dealer offered 5 Lakhs. From which dealer you have the offer of 10L discount? Is this for Manual or Automatic. To my knowledge, Automatic variants' are not much available in Karnataka.

Re: Toyota Hilux Review

2024 Jan made Hilux can be had with same discount of 12 lakhs plus a bit more if haggled a bit more or remove those accessories package etc. But, whether this applies to only Chennai or the whole of India is yet to be checked and confirmed. But I presume, it should be applicable as this discount is to sell it off with new update is impending for the Hilux outside of India (link).

I somehow feel we might not even get the GR update next year as Toyota knows now that we do not like to buy Pick ups like everywhere else in the world. So, we are just buying these offloads of over production by Toyota in Thailand. If one is considering Hilux, the positives:

1. Reliable, simple and tough as nails mechanicals. This won't strand you anywhere for the next 15 years even if it is just maintained with basic consumables.

2. 2.8 liter 500nm 200hp on tap the instant you need. You only get this in 50 lakhs Fortuner otherwise especially in this tune.

3. Still has 4 doors and seats 5 easily including driver compared something like Thar where you have to struggle climbing up and down squeezing inside and out with just one door.

4. 7 airbags (including knee) plus all kinds of safety one think of - ABS, EBD etc. etc.

5. Loading bay when it is required.

6. Peace of mind and Toyota's decent service experience.

Am I loving it? Every single minute. This truck is a dream come true for me. You could just live off this truck!!

Great build! Im really curious about the the sliding window frame and glass? Does it allow a person to move into the canopy/ pickup bed without going to the rear of the vehicle or is it just an open window? Also isnt there a gap between the bed and the body, how is the passage insulated from the elements?

Haha. Great question, but No, I don't think so. Though I haven't tried ever. Maybe someone with waist size 20 could

See the Canopy comes with a sliding window. When you replace the fixed glass of the Hilux with a sliding window, the only thing it allows is communication between passengers in the main body and passengers in the rear bed. This is a scenario I imagine would arise while camping.

As you rightly said, there is a gap between the main body and the bed. It's visible in the pictures I had shared in an earlier post. If your concern is about air-conditioning, the AC is the main body does not cool the rear bed. But one can get an AC fixed inside the canopy. I may, if I feel the need, but I don't think the need has arisen yet.

Re: Toyota Hilux Review

Finally took the delivery of my Hilux AT Pearl White yesterday at BJS Toyota Bellary, KA. The delivery process was smooth that the dealer could not explain the features like Cruise Control, HDC, etc during delivery. Anyways I will explore myself Some pictures of the beast. Drove about 300 Kms to home, enjoyed the drive a lot.

Re: Toyota Hilux Review

Hi folks, anyone recently taken delivery in Gurgaon or NCR? What should be the on-road for the High AT variant? Anyone secured 12-13 lakhs on a MY24? Is sub 30 lakhs on-road possible? Any dealers in particular? Any advice greatly appreciated! Planning on buying if the numbers are right.

At present, most dealers have toned down the offers on the Hilux for the '24 models. You may have to wait for some time till they have an inventory pile up, or approach them during the FY end. Else you could find someone who still has stock of a '23 MY.

Re: Toyota Hilux Review

Hello, I am in for buying Hilux High AT for OTR less than 30Lac. I am Jaipur based. I contacted many dealers all over India and best discounts I could find are in range 9-11 Lac, but somehow they are under confident about colour(my preference is Grey Metallic) - if delivery is demanded in Feb 2024.

I have two query from esteemed members and Hilux owners :-
1. Is 11Lac discount good enough or I should wait for better deal?
2. Will dealers offer better deal if few prospective buyers collectively demand better discounts?

Re: Toyota Hilux Review

11 lakh is a certainly a good offer, especially if it’s on a ‘24 model. There maybe some leftover stock of ‘23 models with some that can possibly go higher, but at its peak, the discount has been around 13 lakhs, from what I heard.

May I ask which dealer has these offers (11 lakh)?

Your settings do not allow PMs or emails. Please post here itself. The idea is to know which area dealers are offering the best deals.
