Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

I got delivery of my Hycross VX on Sunday. While I had booked the ZX(o) variant on the launch day, I had later cancelled and booked Mahindra XUV 700 AX7L.

However, things didn't go as planned with the XUV and I was able to get a VX 8 seater . Both the dealers I had contacted had VX 7 seater in stock.

Drove 350 kms straight the next day. Got 15.5 kmpl overall on highways. and about 15 kmpl in Delhi traffic.

Got tires upgraded from 215/60R17 Apollo to 235/55R17 Michelin, as while cornering on the highway, the tires were squealing at 45-50 kmph.

Did you get the Primacy 4ST?

Can you please post a picture of the tyres?

Also, how much did you pay in difference after the tyre swap?

p.s I think the tyres are squealing as they are new, should be sorted soon.

Check the photographs of my car (VX 8 str).
I was also hoping for a black wheel arch cladding as that is what I interpreted from the accessories brochure.
But I am glad it is not with the black cladding and just the chrome strip as it would look awful. The only downside is I have waved goodbye to INR10k

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

Just got an update from my dealer stating price hike from April but not sure on the amount. Price hike across all models not just Hycross.

Funny to see grab now for Hycross

If this is indeed true and Toyota increases the price for Hycross for a second month in a row, then that will be preposterous and will have to rethink my decision to buy the car

Totally on the same page. Will actively consider canceling my booking. Another price hike and that too so soon - could be the last straw on the camel's back around the abysmal customer experience so far

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

Same here. I am also tired of waiting and the endless price hikes. Have seen the Hycross and honestly I am getting the feeling that it is too big a car for me to be bringing to office everyday. I would rather stick with my Jeep Compass (Diesel) for a few more years and wait for some other good 5 seater hybrid car (possibly the new Honda hybrid SUV which is also slated to launch this year).
Will probably wait and watch for another 2-3 months.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

After looking at Scorpio-N, XUV700, Seltos (booked and cancelled) and others, we finally booked the Hycross VX 7S in pearl white yesterday at Harsha Toyota. This will be my dad's daily ride and our previous ride was 2011 Innova VX, which we sold it off an year ago and in the interim, we had Taigun 1L TSI MT, which we returned back recently and, now, we are left with our good ol 2014 Honda City iDTEC.

What's worrying me is rumoured price hike of around ₹2L as per my SA since it already received a price hike this month.

What went in favour of Innova Hycross is its comfort, space and being Hybrid, the FE can return around 15-17 Kmpl when driven in city. Initially, I wasn't keen on letting my dad get the Innova again and had insisted him to Scorpio-N or XUV700 instead, but still his heart was on Innova Hycross due to its reliability.

The reason for opting VX is its VFM and has all features except sunroof (my dad is okay without it), 6 airbags (Toyota missed a trick here) and fog lamps (will get it installed during the delivery).

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

Saw this Hycross Taxi today in Bangalore. Thought Toyota relaunched the Diesel crysta to cater to taxi segment and Hycross would be exclusively for private car owners for some period.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

Don’t know if it has been already discussed here, but the wheel wells look terribly empty even on the ZX. It gets even worse when you look at it from the rear. The bumper edges out too much from the wheel. Is it a design flaw or a deliberate attempt from the manufacturer?

I don't think Toyota will be this much greedy to increase prices a second time within three months of launch. They will surely increase prices on other models besides cross and Hilux.

You can check with Galaxy Toyota Moti Nagar Delhi.

They might not confirm you on phone, or during visit, but once you book it, expect them to call you back in 2-3 days time. If required, i can share my SA number via Direct message as well.

Another price hike rattles me as well & will be very disheartened if i have to face another hike.

I booked from the same and I DON'T want the VX and the rumors of price hike have made the excitement really dull.
