2. How is highway drive ? If vehicle is cruising at 100kmph, how much average can be expected & how comfortable is overtaking ?
3. Any uphill / mountain drive experience ?
4. Is there gear indicator on centre consol illuminated ?
5. What is service interval ?
1) Light setup on VX is quite good . Very good throw on highways and auto mode is excellent. The DRLs is a miss. One thing I noticed is that the white light is not very comfortable during early morning misty drives.
2) Highway drive is quite confident. I don't see any issues in scaling it to 120/140. Mileage on Bangalore - Mysore new Highway specifically was 14.7.
Overtaking is a breeze if we are on Power mode.
After 100 km/ph I can hear the engine strain a little with more noise heard in the cabin. The car is quite stable at all these speeds.
3) No mountain drive experience yet.
4) Gear indicator is shown on the centre console when we are in D+S- mode.
5) First service is @ 1000 Km/1month.I need to check the service interval.
I am able to book the service from Toyota iconnect app.
From the app, we can start the car for brief period, lock the door, see all the parameters, switch on the hazard lights and create drive profiles where we can restrict the drive parameters like geofencing, seat belt restrictions ,speed etc which is quite useful.

As multiple people have reported, this looks a lot more dark green than black. I was also surprised (in a bad way) to see the color in person, and my initial impression was to change our bookings to grey (bronze) or white as I've also booked the Blackish Ageha Glass Flake. It only looks black when it's night .

Hycross in Grey Bronze looks dull. If you are confused with color, simply pick silver color. Else best color is Super White.

Didn’t you ask your dealer to arrange Fog Light fitment for your car? With the addition of Fog Lights, the Night visibility will improve.

They quoted over 11K for the fog-lamp setup. I can live without fog lamps !

Toyota is offering APOLLO APTERRA Tyres as well with VX. (In addition to Good Year) I heard that Apollo Apterra tyres are very good in comparison to Good Year ones and its a proper Mid Size and Crossover Tyre which was launched in 2021 only and it does duty in Cretas and Grand Vitaras. Is there anyone in this group who has taken delivery of VX and their car is shod with APOLLO APTERRA Tyres? If Yes, Please share your feedback on Apollo Tyres as stock ones on Hycross VX.

They quoted me 12k. I am ready to pay for it but the Fog Lamps are not available as of now.

Did your dealer allow you to take insurance on your own? Or you took Insurance cover from Toyota itself?

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

Most tyre shops I see are upgrading the tyres of ZX & ZX(O) Innovas from 225/50/R18s to 245/50/R18s.

Yes. I spoke to dealer on phone & he confirmed variant is ZX(O) for test drive. Atleast test drive vehicle is available, unlike Delhi, Noida & Faridabad wherein numerous dealers & so called biggest Toyota dealer(s) are still waiting for their test drive vehicle.

If possible, please share the complete quotation. VX for me is coming down to 28.03. When i last spoke to my SA, i told him he will have to match insurance with best quotation available & i dont want accessories to be forced. However, I'm planning to take following accessories -

1. Grill jewel garnish
2. Door handle chrome, if they are of same type like in ZX/ZX(O)
3. Window beeding, again same as of ZX/ZX(O) & not ones that are pasted over & above
4. Fog lamp kit
5. Digital video recorder
6. DRL kit, along with front bumper silver inserts. Though this is not available in India, but saw Zenix video on YouTube wherein it is possible & all plug & play.

All other cars in family are white, so thought to get different color this time. Incase Ageha does not look good in person, I might shift to Bronze as well, but due to missing bodyside cladding, I'm inclined towards darker shades.

God there is so much confusion all around.

Thanks for all the pointers. Yes, white light is a bummer in fog as that's where Yellows are preferred.

I max take car to 100, 11+. Not beyond. So i think i'll be good in Hycross. & i love Cruise control to extract max from mullah.

Gear indicator should have been lit. Toyota & cross cutting

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

Posted this under Crysta thread by mistake. Reposting under Hycross thread:

Checked out Hycross on Sunday. I was really excited to get a feel of Ottoman seats in the 2nd row. What a let down it was!

While the seats are undoubtedly comfortable in normal position, it was equally uncomfortable in the "recliner" position, where you can lift the lower part of seat to rest your legs on. For a taller person, the feet will get stuck beneath the front seat. So, i could not utilise it fully. Any other position in between had my legs hanging midway, nor was there any proper under thigh support.
Was a quite disappointing experience.

Not sure of the ideal height of people who could really be benefited from this.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

225 65 R17 is a huge step up in terms of Diameter. I wouldn't suggest this upgrade for indian conditions since this is a Monocoque chassis and once 8 people sit in a car of this size, the rear of this vehicle will bow down. Which means if we increase the diameter of the tyres over and above the recommended size and if we go through bumps and potholes with 8 people on board, the inner wheel well will touch the rear tyre for sure. These pictures are from Indonesian Zenix. There the road conditions and usage is not like India. So I would suggest whatever upgrade of wheels is done, We should be sure that we do not increase the overall diameter of the tyre.

What tire size will you suggest for upgrade which doesn’t void warranty? I think most of Future ZX buyers will go for upgrade
