This is really very impressive. 18 kmpl during running in period!. I am sure now it should definitely cross 20 kmpl at these speeds!!! I understand Hybrid variants give around 25 kmpl and from your experience, it looks like there is no need to spend that much for a Hybrid!

It is impressive indeed when compared to other turbo petrol SUVs like XUV7OO, Creta, Seltos, Compass etc, but Hycross Hybrid yields atleast 8-10 kms more per liter in city as well as on highways in similar driving conditions, it definitely excels within city, so Hycross Hybrid makes sense if the usage is high. I decided on GX(O) as my running is less than 10k kms per year and no regrets.

The Hycross petrol is a VFM proposition. The hybrid model is a bit too expensive for the equipment it offers. However the FE figures you got are only for highway drives, in regular city drives with traffic, its FE cant be more than 8 kmpl that i am sure as it is a heavy car. However the FE figures are still quite good for a car of its size.

What is the fuel efficiency in bumper to bumper traffic?

Since I have other cars, I haven't used the Hycross much inside city, but i can guarantee you it'll be less than 10 kmpl.

If majority of driving is inside city, hybrid would be better choice since it'll be in EV mode most of the time. Hybrid would give at max around 14 kmpl in such conditions, if the roads aren't that congested expect the numbers to go up.

I have said this before too, the Non Hybrid Hycross will make sense only for people using on highways and occasional city drives (non bumper to bumper traffic).

Sir,

Thank you very much for sharing your experience. I am hoping to pick up our Hycross this month, non-hybrid as my running is mainly highway trips. My only concern is how abuse friendly is Hycross.

My previous S-Cross was fantastic at handling rough roads and potholes. Our highway trips usually include the whole enchilada of roads, rough, potholes etc. Do you think Hycross will be able to handle this and a little bit of driving in the fields. More like a very soft off-roader.

Please share your thoughts. Thank you.

Does the Innova Hycross ZXO trim have electric seats for the passenger/co-driver?

Can anyone point out how to get the following things done in Hybrid.

On which position should the gear be when moving out of multilevel basement parking, where the exits are on inclined up sloping circular outs? Noticed my friend having a hard time to exit from the basement parking.

Is the power in to the TOYOTA dashcam a USB C or B connection? (Front and Rear Dashcam)

Appreciate your time.
Just put it in drive in normal mode? I haven’t faced any trouble going up inclines on paved or unpaved roads yet. Just press the accelerator more. Exactly what trouble is he facing?

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

Saw this on another site. Would anyone who has already picked up a 2025 model confirm, please?

- Headlamp reflector mods to improve lighting performance
- HEV badge for hybrids replacing the ‘Hybrid’ badge.
- Passenger Airbag On/Off switch for Co-driver
- Acoustic Warning in hybrids moving in EV mode when <25 kmph (buzzing sound to alert pedestrians) - this is confirmed and there are posts on this forum as well.

More interested in knowing if changes have indeed been made to the headlights and if it has improved visibility.

Searched a few Youtube videos of the 2025 Hycross but could not find conclusive evidence.

Came across this on X (Twitter) and that is what made me unsure about the authenticity of the information.

Hence reached out to the group to see if we can get any inputs from the members who have already got the 2025 model. That will help us validate this.

I have reached out to the sales team from the dealership where I have booked my Hycross, waiting to hear from them.

Checked on twitter and found pictures of the minor changes done to MY25 Feb cars:

1. HEV Logo : On Toyota’s website they’ve updated the logo from Hybrid to HEV in the brochure and virtual showroom.

2. Headlight Reflector Update : Can’t make out much from the picture shared on Twitter/X

3. Acoustic Vehicle Alert System : This has been confirmed as a new addition by the brochure

4. Passenger Airbag Off Switch : This isn’t mentioned in the brochure or present in the virtual showroom, but the picture has been shared on Twitter/X.

Got a confirmation from the sales rep that the changes have been made. No update yet on the performance of the updated lights.
