Re: 2022 Audi Q3 Review

Yeah, it is the daily short run, I realized. Not damaging the engine per se (or at least not yet) but I went on a long drive within the city yesterday for ~50 kms (with reasonable Saturday traffic), and saw the mileage number hit 12 kmpl with Power95 inside the tank. That 18 mark does seem unreal (and that too with 91 RON), should have taken a picture and shared with Audi, maybe they’d send me a goodie :-)

On E20, not sure what was the hullabaloo around all vehicles manufactured post 1st Apr 2023 being certified as E20 compliant as then it would show up in the fuel lid stamp itself. Maybe it doesn’t apply to CKD cars and only to the ones fully built here.

1) Whether this is needed, or can we go ahead with the normal 91 RON. Don't want to run around searching for XP95 and similar each time. Feedback from users would be really helpful.
2) Other query is regarding fuel efficiency. Being a long term A4 diesel user, I'm used to pretty high fuel efficiency but this (at least in the readout) barely manages 7 or max 8 in normal city drives. Is this what I can expect or would it improve over time?

A friendly warning to stick with 95 ron fuel!

Any Turbocharged engine with more than 1500cc capacity should compulsorily run on minimum 95 ron fuel, 91 ron will kill the engine over a period of time. Any fuel below 95 ron will lead to the long term damage of your engine starting with engine knocking, degrading performance and eventually to engine seizing!

By using 95 octane fuel, you would see a good improvement of fuel efficiency. The car would manage to give 7.5 to 8 under heavy traffic conditions and 9 to 9.5 during normal city drives. You may also achieve a fuel efficiency of 14 to 15 km/l on highways if driven sedately.

This is an oft discussed topic and the feedback is widely varying on either side. There is also a dedicated thread on this

Personally, I do not see any perceived improvement in performance using 95RON neither have I seen any large TC petrol cars reporting engine damage due to sustained use of 91 RON. While I appreciate your recommendation, I'm unable to convince myself. But I feel if the manufacturer recommends 95 RON minimum, its wise to stick to that

Q3 Bumper Repair options.

[Request mods to move this topic/post to the respective forum if necessary]

Hello members,

An unfortunate incident took place with our Audi Q3.
While my dad was parking the car in front of our office, he couldn’t notice a cement block & crashed into it resulting in deep scratches & misaligned bumper. Request members to provide input as to get this rectified & what options do I have.

Thank you

I’d suggest to take a couple of quotes from good garages like Carmed in Hennur. Will need full bumper repaint after some fibre work on the lower lip and replacing of clamps.
