After the recent 20k km service, seems the system was updated and now i can finally see music and calling information on MID.

I have been informed by the dealer that my car has reached the stockyard and I need to get an insurance purchased I didn't go for the one dealer offered for which he has shared the Chassis no: MBJUYML1SRM147786

Can someone decode the Manufacturing year and month please?

Toyota VIN number should be 22 characters while the VIN here is 17 characters long. If the dealer did not share entire VIN, then please ask him to share entire 22 characters VIN with you.

It is better not to put entire VIN on public searchable forum as ours.


You can get month and year of manufacture from Toyota VIN format (ARTICLE: Find your car's date of manufacture (VIN)) thread yourself.

His car is December 2024 manufactured.
You just needed to decode a Maruti vin number and not a Toyota.
My Hyryder's VIN is 17 digits.

I understand Hyryder has 17 characters VIN now as noticed with some other users as well. Isn't that the case?

While I know there are dealers in the city I live, that would have 360 camera fitted, a lot opt for after market.
The only issue with after market is, if anything goes wrong, the warranty could be void if you need to fix it. Hence it better to get it done from the dealer if it isn't too expensive.

Perfect, thats what I was worried about if an older car was handed over or a recent one as promised. Now that's assuring to hear

Final one before I make the insurance purchase, has anyone bought the 3+3 insurance instead of 1+3 and what are the pros and cons to go with 3+3. Inclined towards the 3 year but I understand although cheaper, will be locked for 3 years, in case I need to change the insurance service provider.

If anyone can enlighten on this one please!

Hi. My car was serviced for 40 K and with the software update I can no longer get the instant fuel consumption, range and total consumption. Just a blank screen. Useless information like motion and clock, calling information and and last 10 min data available. So frustrating

Toggle from the steering button left/right till you reach mileage page and then use up/down button, you will get it.
