Hi. If you bargain hard, you can get better discounts.

There will be no advantages, per se, except for a slightly better resale value.

The resale value difference between a '23 car and a '24 car might be lesser than the discount you might be able to get now.

Thanks for sharing this. I wasn't aware of the timing mode at all. And no, the cruise control wasn't on.

Thanks. I've been considering the A229 Plus. A139 Pro seems a little out of my budget. Also, was there any specific reason you picked A139 Pro over A229 Pro?
One last thing maybe, I read a lot of messages on the Dash Cam thread that installing a rear dashcam might affect curtain Airbags. Is this a concern with Tucson?

Hyundai Tucson 2024 relaunch?

Can you give me an idea if Hyundai is going to relaunch the Tucson in 2024? The reason for my query is the way Hyundai dealerships are trying to push the vehicle in December, which of course is understandable.

All the same, info on a probable facelift at such short gap after the facelift in 2022 would definitely help prospective buyers to postpone the buy rather than getting saddled with an older version of this vehicle.

Re: 2022 Hyundai Tucson Review

07.12.23; ODO 13.0 KM : Took delivery of my Tucson 4WD Signature from M/s Bengal Hyundai in Kolkata. The car had arrived in Kolkata from the factory in Chennai a week ago, but was awaiting registration and fitment of high security number plate. As per the latest rules, temporary registration is not allowed and a car can be driven out of the showroom only after fitment of HSRP.

It was raining heavily when my wife and I took delivery of the car. Found the functioning of the wipers and defogger satisfactory during the drive home. Made it a point to put Forward Collision Avoidance function of ADAS on 'warning only' to obviate any rude surprises during the maiden drive!

Re: 2022 Hyundai Tucson Review

Has anyone upgraded the Tucson tyres from the stock 235/60R18 highway tyres?

I need AT tyres to confidently deal with certain terrains, and this stock highway tyre already had a puncture while driving over a bottle. A glass piece was able to puncture the tyre.

2022 Hyundai Tucson Review-ipvpfz2cxl.jpg

There are no AT tyres in the stock size, I see them only in the following size:

MRF 255/65R18 WANDERER A/T (14k)
MRF 265/60 R18 WANDERER A/T (15k)
MICHELIN 265/60R18 LTX FORCE (20k)
YOKOHAMA 265/60R18 GEOLANDAR G015 (17k)

Any thoughts? Are there warranty implications with Hyundai?

It's usually with the dealer/ SA you deal with. With my Hyundai cars in the past, the SA even got me a strut replaced when it leaked after I upsized to 15" and 195 sections. Back then, he said one size up is not a problem in width, and if the tyre + rim conforms to the stock size's dia within a % or two.

Better check with your friendly SA for the latest, what the worst that can happen is they'll deny suspension warranty (or switch back to stick size of you had to do a claim)...

Re: 2022 Hyundai Tucson Review

Has anyone tried using Tucson navigator? I tried to use it few times, it can be very inaccurate even for wellknown places. I used it to visit Adiyogi shiva statue near chikkaballapur, and it wanted me to turn into the paddy fields 3 kms before the actual turn. Then I switched to google maps over android auto and found the correct turn.

The only advantage of Tucson navigator is that it can show the distance to destination on the MID.

That's the same experience I have had with Maruti or Hyundai before this. But I don't see any option within 2%.

This is the issue with all cars today. You can consider changing the wheels to 17" if the front brake calipers have sufficient clearance. Then you have a plethora of AT tyres in 17" size. The lower costs of regularly replacing tyres will pay for the alloys. Hyundai will create problems with warranty for sure.

Has anyone had any experience of trying to sell their Tucson? I was trying to sell it after 1yr 3 months and 5k kms, and cars24 and some dealers are quoting as low as 50% of invoice price.

This is a very niche car. Please don't go to these dealers as they want mass market cars. Try to sell it on your own as the mass market dealers are only interested in Fortuners or Endeavours. Cars such as Octavia, Superb, Tucson, Tiguan, Tucson etc are only sold (with a fair market value) to folks specifically looking for that make and model. It will take some time but do sell it on your own via online classifieds and not Cars24 or any other dealer.

Got it thanks! Which online classifieds would you recommend?

Why not our very own TEAMBHP classifieds section?! Post the ad there and list the link here and on the thread BHPians cars for sale. Search for it on the forum.

I concur with @Smilenow and @Redliner with their suggestions. It is a niche car and not everyone will appreciate what it has to offer.

But just out of curiosity, and hope you don't mind, why are you selling such a fine machine that has hardly run any kilometres?

Ofcourse not always happy to take any questions.

So one was that I had to move to Chennai due to a change in jobs. And I want to avoid going through the hassle of reregistering the car.

The second, and probably bigger reason is a life event last year (also the reason why the car was not used much), that proved amply that life is incredibly short. Owning a luxury car was always a dream that I’ve been delaying saying “phir kabhi” but I’ve decided to go all in this time as life is not gonna wait for me. I’d rather live life now before life tells me “phir kabhi”
