Re: 2022 Hyundai Tucson Review

Ok, I went down to the car and checked the service booklet thoroughly again and found the following:

So there is a 1500km/2-month service. But the coupons are not applicable to that service.

How many free labour coupons are available for you? If it is three, what’s the third service KM?

For my Alcazar, I have three free labour coupons at 1500(2 months), 10K(1 year) and 20K(2 years). First service mostly inspection and a free wash only. If you are visiting them on a busy day, then it’s a waste of whole day.

Could you share the details regarding the light bar?
How much it cost and where I could get it installed in Bangalore?

Thanks for your help.
Hello there,

I got the light bar unit from Hella dealer here in Chennai & if you need I can share his direct contact number who can ship the product to Bangalore. I am not sure who can install within the Bangalore city. Here is the light bar review.

Re: 2022 Hyundai Tucson Review

Hello guys. Am scheduled get delivery of my Tucson in next week. Ned your help for following my queries:
1. Should I go for underbody anti rust treatment?
2. Should I go for ppf (at 14 locations on car as specified by the dealer) and ceramic coating on complete car? Or should I go for complete ppf coating on full car?
3. Have booked zekardo pdi services? Anything to be taken a note of during the same?

Am really confused a lot for all three of my above queries.

Since you are in Mumbai, you might want to get an underbody rust treatment. In my opinion, you can get this later around May June if you want.
While I didnt get ppf on car, I think it might have been worth it, if I had known better. I did get Graphene coating later on.

I did get a new OTA upgrade today. Picture attached.

Also, I wanted to get feedback on the following

1. Good mats for Tucson. Can someone provide an amazon link to good mats.
2. Sunblinds, atleast for the back seats. Any recommendations?

The dealer has 7d mats which he is giving as a part of accessory combo that is coming around 14K. This includes matting, mud flaps, perfume, idol, number plate frame and charger. The matting what i have seen at the showroom is not looking that great so might call it from someone who’s coming in from states since they have good options over there. For a set of four sunblinds the dealer has quoted 6K.

Question 1: How to about the Ota update

Question 2: Doesn’t the car come with mud flaps as a standard fitment?

Question 3: As far as ppf or ceramic coating is concerned I get thoughts of how have we managed to keep the cars (current one and all those that we have used over years) in good condition without using any such things. And down the line after getting ppf or ceramic, there is a situation where it gets damaged only certain part than it’s gonna be an issue. And another standing issue is getting the car washer who cleans the car daily to do it in a particular way with good props. Like that is just beyond your control. To top all this, the dealer has quoted 65k while 3m people have quoted 1.5L+ both for 7 year warranty. And have gone through so many reviews online where in they give mixed reviews. So this is all just mixing up things more for me in absence of any expert opinion or popular opinion. Totally confused as to how do I get through this 🙃

Which dealer is this (for sunblinds)? I got mine from Arsh, but I live in Navi Mumbai? Were these any good?

OTA updates we get automatically. Once you drive around, it gets downloaded, and then will ask you to install that. Nothing specific is needed. I think this one majorly had map updates.

For ppf, I think this video is nice. rest is upto you.

I purchased these mats and they are good. Almost 1 year and they still look and feel like new.

Checked online, visited some local spots for seat covers, but nothing's vibing with the Tucson's interior, so looking for recommendations now. What happens to cooling/heating function of the seats after putting the covers?
I was also concerned like you. However I have used this spray to successfully remove all stains. Including ink marks from gel and ball pens. Sometimes it takes 3 repeat scrubbing but it does remove all stains.

Tried talking to the roadside assistance, but couldn’t reach them. The next day, the problem resurfaced and now the on site road assistance has taken the car to the workshop. Highly disappointed with such an expensive car.

The car has just covered 1152 km with 90% of it in the city.

Maybe, Hyundai has given a lemon. Hopefully they resolve it soon.
What is the update? It is long enough since you posted the issue.

Re: 2022 Hyundai Tucson Review

Sorry about the delayed response. The service centre guys told that the cooling fan motor had malfunctioned and so they replaced it in three days as the fan wasn’t available in Ranchi. They had to source it from Calcutta. It’s working properly now.

I got these, and fairly satisfied with these. Wish they were also available in black stitching. but good enough.

Now looking for a sun shade if possible
