Which service center would you recommend in Hyderabad ?

Hello All,

Completed two years with the car and gave it a fresh exterior polish to keep it looking like new!

Hi,
I am driving a Tucson 2021 with approx 26K on the odo. Have another Skoda Kushaq for city driving.
About the Tucson experience - only routine servicing, oil change done. Driving is smooth and extremely comfortable. We frequent Bangalore-Wellington/Ooty and the hill driving is a breeze. Mileage is approximately 13 kmpl on long trips but 8-9 in Bangalore.
I had 3M ceramic coating done - no touchups - but sadly the daily wash has taken the paint sheen away.
No rattles. Noise levels are low.

Hi, did not feel any difference in suspension of our petrol Tucson drive modes. Steering, gear ratio, engine note changed - but did not feel anything else different.

Below are the list of products used for the audio upgrade...
Tell us please - (1) where did you buy the items? And (2) approximate costs

Bharat NCAP should be testing the models being sold in huge numbers rather than niche models.

Applicable to ONLY Gasoline(petrol) models not diesels. Wonder why?

Bharat NCAP is voluntary in nature. Any manufacturer can send the car they like for testing. In this case Hyundai picked its flagship(ICE) vehicle likely for brand building as they had average safety performances in the past.

Re: 2022 Hyundai Tucson Review

My Diesel Hyundai Tucson went for a third service at 30k km. Like the previous two services, this was also completely free of cost (inclusive consumables). I only had to pay for wheel alignment. I also requested them to only use Fully synthetic engine oil as per Hyundai's recommendation for BS 6 2.0 Diesel engines, which they obliged. Overall a great ownership experience so far with Tucson

Re: 2022 Hyundai Tucson Review

I would like to see BNCAP test the NCAP 0-1-2 star-rated cars so that we can understand how good or great BNCAP is unless someone can share a comparison of parameters to help us contextualize.

Also, why Gasoline...Yuck! India uses Petrol, Diesel, CNG, LPG, EV...

Did they not charge extra for the fully synthetic oil? Where did you do your service - dealer name and city? The dealers in TN don't use fully synthetic Shell brand - they use IOCL Servo. And what did you do with the remaining oil say 2+ litres of oil as the total capacity for Tucson is 5.6L?

He has a diesel Tucson, which means it needs 7.6L of engine oil.

No charge for fully synthetic oil, and my service center is Yashodha Hyundai, Patiala, Punjab. Before sending my car for service, I always align with the service center to confirm whether they will use Synthetic oil or not. I have had instances where they bring Servo or semi-synthetic oil but I don't budge and show them the Hyundai recommended engine oil list for BS6 Diesel and ask them to change it to Synthetic one. For worst arguments, I am even ready to pay the difference in amount between semi-synthetic and synthetic. Now that my free services are over, from next time I will buy synthetic engine myself from outside, and ask service center to use it while servicing. Diesel Tucson engine capacity is 7.6L

Re: 2022 Hyundai Tucson Review

I recently drove from Amravati to Pune and appreciated the excellent ride quality and the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) 2 in my Hyundai Tucson, which generally helps me feel relaxed. However, I noticed a strange behavior with the ADAS 2 during my trip.

Setup:

Cruise control set at 118 km/h
Lane keep assist and lane centering turned ON
Distance from the car ahead set to maximum
Driving in the rightmost lane

Incident:

A car from the center lane crossed into my lane just ahead of my car (within the safe distance limit).
The Tucson's ADAS 2 did not detect this car, even as it got closer.
I had to take control and brake.
This situation repeated after a few hours, with the same lack of response from the ADAS 2.

Anyone else tried this scneario and faced any issues ?

1. Cruise Control - check
2. Lane Keep Assist - Check
3. But what about the Forward Collision Detection? If it is turned off, it will not detect the vehicle in front unless you are too close to it. If it is turned on and does not detect the front vehicle, it may be an issue with the radar.
4. The radar may not have detected it properly if it was in heavy rain.
