You can check the service cost on Hyundai app.

Thanks. I checked the app and it does show zero cost for the first 3 years or 30k. I have talked to the Service Center and he does not know how to bill it on his system. He's looking into it. Is there some other place where it was mentioned that the first 3 services will be free?

Consumables are free. Unless you ask for anything more than what is covered in AMC, the bill will be zero rupees.

This is from my recent 2 year end service.

Re: 2022 Hyundai Tucson Review

Hello All,

With the rains lashing Pune, i am seeing a basic design flaw with the door designs in Tucson. The edge of the doors carry on well into the wheel well and that causes all the mud and grime to be picked up by it. Infact when the fine mud particles get's into the rubber cladding it becomes very difficult to remove. Whenever anyone wearing a flowy dress or a saree tries to get into the rear seat, their dress comes in contact with door edge and the clothes get dirty.

Actually this does exact opposite to what you have mentioned here. Since, door takes away all the dirt with it, the person sitting never gets in contact with debris/ mud getting accumulated while driving. Making it ideal getting in or out of the car!

Re: 2022 Hyundai Tucson Review

Need help regarding an issue in my Tucson, Signature 4x2 Diesel brought in Jan 24, MY 2024.
The car has done 11.6k km till now,1st service done
The car is throwing check smart cruise control and forward safety system error, randomly.
This disappears on restart.
Recently the frequency has increased with no particular pattern.
This had occurred only once prior to the service and i brushed it off then, so did not raise a complaint then.
Please find attached the picture for reference.
Any help is appreciated.
Thank you

Re: 2022 Hyundai Tucson Review

This happened to me on a rainy day with heavy rain blocking the camera and radar. Cleared them and it resolved immediately.
Could be a loose connection or some blockage e.g. dust.

This happens to me on extremely rainy days. The radar probably somehow gets blocked by the rain/mud etc. Once the car dries off, it goes away automatically.

Thanks for the inputs.
Previous errors happened on rainy days as you said but the most recent incident happened on a sunny morning and it disappeared on restart at a traffic signal.
I will be going to the service center this sunday and hopefully get a resolution to this.

I had a frustrating experience with limited parking space. When the car door can’t open fully, the flowy clothes often touch the door edge or the wheel well, which is dirty.

Re: 2022 Hyundai Tucson Review

Tyre Change Update, ODO @76K - Moved to Michelin Primacy SUV+, 235/60 R18, they cost 12.5 K apiece, all 4 tyres were changed.
Observations compared to stock MRF Wanderer tyres -
1. The cabin is now uber silent, absolutely no road noise - was kind of expecting this
2. The average mileage drop of around 1.2 kmpl - same time/route/climate/distance (300 km stretch everyday)

Overall, happy with the replacements.

Just 12.5k ? Sure that wasn't a typo ? Which shop? Or did you exchange the old tyres.

Re: 2022 Hyundai Tucson Review

Hi, I am in the market for a Hyundai Tucson Diesel. I called up the dealers in Wakad, Aundh and Warje - each of them said they’ll get the salesperson to call back in 10 min but jine did. The Aundh reception was honest enough to share that the test drive vehicle probably isn’t available itself.

Am wondering if there’ll be scope for price negotiations when there’s no stock itself !!

Any tips or guidance?

Alternatives I have liked: Jeep Compass and VW Tiguan. I started by looking for Petrol but am now realising that Petrol in this segment gives a mileage of 7-9. While I’m not much into efficiency, 7-9 km a litre seems like wasting fuel.

I also like a XC40 B4 mild hybrid from pre-owned segment. That would probably give a 12+ mileage. I like the car, though the driving doesn’t seem as spirited. I have also never bought a used car and am little anxious about maintenance costs of that segment.

Presently I drive a SCross 1.6 and have been extremely happy with peppy 320 torque engine, road handling especially at high speeds and bad roads, Maruti service. Mileage of 15-16in city and 18-22 on highway was a bonus. It’s up for exchange now.

A
Same state. I started with Tuscon, waited for weeks, but the car was unavailable for TD and the maximum discount was quoted to me was 75K. They even pushed me to check Alcazar and Ioniq as a better alternative to Tuscon. But at the end, I made my mind for Jeep.
