Going forward I am going to insist on the 0W16 grade else would choose a different service center.
When it comes to engine oil strictly go by what your owner's manual recommends. Maruti recommends 0W16 for most of their latest engines. This engine is not easily available outside but most MASS do stock it. You'll need to be firm and show them your manual and most often than not they should oblige. I recently got my Wagon R serviced from a Nexa service center only because they let customers be at their car's side during service. This dealership is using 5w30 oil for all their Nexa cars. When I insisted on 0w16 the service advisor gave a quick call to someone and stated that it's available too.

Re: 2022 Maruti Brezza Review

Now Maruti Brezza 2025 also gets 6 airbags as standard: Prices to be hiked again.

Quote:
the prices, which will soon come into effect once the stock of 6 airbags starts arriving at the dealerships. Just like the Celerio, the Brezza will also get 5x 3-point seatbelts for all occupants. Otherwise, it gets 4x seatbelts and 1x lap belt for the rear centre occupant.
Quote:
After the inclusion of 4 additional airbags in the lower variants, the prices have gone up by Rs. 5,500 to Rs. 15,000.

Better late than never. It should have been done a long time ago. This will make the ZXI variant more VFM.

I know. The ZXI variant was what I had my eye on. I got the ZXI+ only for the 6 airbags.

Re: 2022 Maruti Brezza Review

Hello,

I bought a Brezza ZXI+ AT in December and want to share some feedback regarding the performance of the automatic transmission. I would also appreciate any insights if I am doing something wrong.

I have noticed that when starting from a standstill or driving at low speeds, the pickup is not very strong, and it takes a few seconds before I feel a decent pull. However, at higher speeds, I don’t experience this lag and can overtake easily, even at 80 km/h.

This is making it not very pleasant to drive in traffic and even overtake at slow speeds

Am I doing something wrong?

Re: 2022 Maruti Brezza Review

In my mid 2023 bought car noticed clear coat failure in the top corner of the bonnet.spoken to ASS and they asked to bring it in to look into the matter.

Also got the blue screen from the front 360 degree twice. Took photo as record. But later didn't recur.

2nd year service is due on July . So wait till then if it doesn't repeat.

Re: 2022 Maruti Brezza Review

I have a 2022 ZXI AT and when I started this morning, I got the check engine light in orange colour and a warning in the infotainment system saying 'Engine system malfunction detected. Contact your dealer for inspection'.

Promptly took it to the dealer and when I was explaining the issue, the light was still there but when they took it inside to run the diagnostics, it disappeared and they were not able to detect any errors or issues. The battery health is also good. They took it for a drive to see if it shows up again but it’s all good now. Told me to bring it back if the light comes on again.

Has anyone faced such an issue?

Mine is a low running car with only weekend super market runs and the very occasional long trips and this will keep bugging me now.

It is normal. Modern cars throw a check engine light when the battery voltage drops below a threshold. A long drive would sort the issue out. Since you mentioned this is a weekend car, try increasing the frequency of your drives. Connected cars are always 'on' and have a constant power draw.

I bought ZXI+ AT during Dec'24 and choose the particular variant for the same reason

This is what I am getting on mostly highway like drives.
If I get the FE as much as you do, I would celebrate hard with the money I save on fuel. My FE numbers in Hyderabad traffic

To get optimum FE in your Brezza as you have purchased it in Dec 24, you need to do the following
1.First and foremost complete 5000 kms and then slowly the FE starts improving.
2.You need to take a long drive preferably highway or expressway where you drive at a constant speed not exceeding 80kms so you get the hang of the car.
3.Do not floor the pedal as your previous regular manual car but a gentle soft press usually works as it is an automatic.
4.Set the trip meter to reset after every refueling.(Long Press on the right hand side stalk in your instrument cluster - Settings - Fuel Rest - After refuel)+(#1033)

Also please refer to post #762,#853 of BHPian Small Bot
and post #11,#852,#929 of BHPian sunbaj
and my posts #714,#851,#855,#927,#930,#1086 in this thread.
I guess this helps you to achieve the desired FE for your Brezza. Presently have completed 43684 kms and my city FE is 16.0 kmpl with AC at 24°C.

Thanks for the informative posts. Took the car for a 1.1k km trip earlier this week and these are the FE numbers for highway travel.

24.48 KMPL !! HOLY!!!
that's very impressive for a 1.5 litre car and inspiring. This sets some high goals to me.
