I assume you have already ruled out luggage carrier to address the boot space issue.

Were you referring to 4WD option from the impact on fuel mileage or is it just stemming from the feeling of a not using a feature? If its the latter, it will be only a handful times, 4WD will really help you apart from offroading.

I would suggest using a luggage carrier to see if its solving the issue before deciding to move on.

Hello :) Thank you for the response. A few things :-

1. Our main issue with the 4WD option not helping us stems from the fact that it is inherently not useful to us since we do not plan on taking our car off-roading. Could you please clarify what you mean by it will help us in situations apart from off-roading ? We have owned this car for three years now and driven (in my opinion) a lot in those three years. Our miles have mostly been put on highways and expressways to multiple places like Mangalore (hometown), Mysore, Coorg, Kerala, Tamil Nadu etc. So I personally feel we will not inherently have a use for it now or in the future.

2. An Innova owner that I know told me that they still sell the automatic gearbox for the car. If they do not and I have to go down the used route are there any specific markers that I have to look for ? For example - Mileage, Variant, Specific issues to the model etc.

Another question - Are there any other alternatives cars we can look at ? They should be similar in characteristics to the Innova Crysta .i.e. comfortable, spacious, good boot capacity etc. It should ideally be in the 30-32 lakh price range in road as well.

Thank you so much for the help in advance :)

Hey there Wooka,
