Thank you! Nice to see people from the same city in the forum.
Also, I did something nobody does here. Booked an automatic. Out of 10 Scorpio-Ns I see on the road here, only 1 or 2 are automatic. In fact, there's a used White Z8L RWD D AT for sale on the Faizabad Road at one of the shops.

If I remember correctly then a poll was conducted in the early days of the thread where it was found that the number of people who booked Automatic was more than that of Manuals so you are not alone.
Automatics are becoming more popular thanks to traffic situation becoming worse :crying

It is not a surprise as people there do not prefer auto boxes as far as I have seen. My own Cousin booked a Seltos GT (D) in December, test drove it and decided he wanted the manual. So he instantly cancelled it and bought HTX+ D, I have also noticed that the traffic in Gomti Nagar and Faizabad Road Area is getting worse with time. In June 2022 it took me 1 hour to travel from Fun Republic Mall to Polytechnic. So Automatic makes sense.

Is there any idea that the Z6 BS6 phase 2 will be delivered on introductory prices or the prices will increase accordingly. :) |
The ex-showroom prices will be locked in (so, introductory bookings will retain their benefit), however, registration charges will be calculated based on the increased ex-showroom prices.
Just spoke to the dealership yesterday about this.
Any one here has booked via Salasar Auto in Thane/Mumbai and got delivery from them? Wanted to understand the experience/feedback.
I am trying to compare between the below.
1. Salasar Thane
2. Hare krishna Mulund
3. NBS - As I understand they have multiple showrooms across Mumbai.

It's probably the turbo kicking in, above 2200 RPM as far as I know. |
Hi,
Thanks for your response.
I got the answer from Mahindra service center. They did test drive and told me that the sound is coming from roof carrier that I bought from them. Without the carrier, it didn't give whistling sound. That carrier is an approved accessory installed by their team. I asked them to remove the carrier and send the vehicle to test myself. And yes, there was no noise.
Now they told me that they reached out to Mahindra engg team to see how to arrest this noise...
Got to wait for them to get back with any updates. At least I am happy that it isn't an issue in my cabin.

Hi, I took delivery of my XUV 700 from Salasar Mahindra, Thane in May last year. Following is my experience with them.
1. Booking
I was out of town on the day the bookings opened and wasn't able to book online. Managed to book through the dealership (with price protection) by sending the KYC documents to SA. However, had to follow-up few times to get the booking receipt and confirmation.
2. Post Booking
The experience was rather average with no updates on delivery date being shared. I had to call the SA myself number of times to check the status of my booking (since I could not track my bookings online).
3. Delivery
Dealership agreed to allow me to do PDI at their yard in Panvel (they have a outlet in Panvel too, FYI). They matched the insurance quote I got from outside and never forced me to get additional accessories and extended warranty from them. We have a VW and Tata car in the family and compared to the experience with them, the delivery ceremony itself was rather underwhelming and simple.
4. Service
So far the experience has been very good. I have got the car serviced at their Thane workshop. They have resolved almost all the issues I reported to them and have been very punctual with the timelines.
Overall, I would rate my experience with them as good.
Cheers!
Folks with the N. Did you ride quality show any significant improvement after migrating to better tyres? I am confused whether to upgrade my MRF Wanderor AT tyres.
Hello Folks,
My Z8L D MT- Napoli Black(BS 6.2) has arrived at dealer's stockyard and I have been called for PDI (As I requested):Cheering:. Had booked it on 12th Jan. I have taken printout of team bhp checklist and going today afternoon.
Few questions :
What type of floor mats to get ? I frequently travel to my hometown, there are mud filled areas where my family board /off board the car and during monsoon it gets really messy , so it should be easily washable. (amazon /any other online links would be helpful). Someone suggested not to go for 7D floor mats offered by Mahindra.
Planning to get chrome pedal inserts, mud flaps and screen guard for infotainment.Any other accessories you think is a must before car leave the showroom ?

I purchased the 3D mats from Mahindra. They are good but not the best in the market. I replaced Mahindra 3D mats with GFX 3D mats after a couple of months. I purchased GFX from carhatke website and my experience was good. Got it delivered in 3 days flat and the fit was good. They are good quality mats, easy to clean and look nice in the car.
Hi
Mahindra claims that they didn't give remote ignition on feature in manual stating that there are chances for the vehicle to be left in gear... But the same thing applied to Automatic too... In automatic, ignition doesn't turn on if it is in gear. So, why can't they apply same logic in Adrenox? If vehicle is in neutral and hand brake, remote ignition should be enabled for manual... Not sure what is so difficult to achieve this...
Mahindra had organized an off-roading event specifically for the Mahindra Scorpio-N today, 11th March, 2023. Correct me if I am mistaken, but the Mahindra dealerships had contacted their customers who had the Scorpio-N 4x4 booking only and had asked them if they were interested for the event. Cost was a mere Rs. 499 for two people.
Surely, being an eager customer, who literally checks the booking tracking page almost everyday (RIP Mahindra SMS server(s), lol), I was interested in checking out the event with my significant other.
The event was organized amazingly well at Off-Road Adventure Zone, near Faridabad - Gurgaon Rd, Expressway, Baliawas, Gurugram. The event had a proper registration area, popcorn/candy floss stands, proper buffet type food arrangements (breakfast + meals), games areas etc.
The event was very lively and was amazingly organized with professional photographers / 360 swivel photo areas etc. But the actual offroad track was very good, with different type of offroad tracks - ROCKS, LOGS, TYRES, FULCRUM BUMP, MOUNDS, ALTERNATING DUGOUTS, 30-35 DEGREE TILTED ON ONE SIDE ON A CIRCULAR MOUND, DITCHES etc, they had them all.
For the first round, they would only allow 3 drivers per car, as passengers, while their professional driver would drive and accompany you, telling you interesting bits about the car, the modes, the terrain and how to perform the aforementioned off-road activities.
A couple of videos from the event:
https://streamable.com/zn7mjh https://streamable.com/kgj346
For the next and final round, you would be given your own Scorpio-N Z8L (4x4, ofcourse) to drive on all the aforementioned tracks! This time, when you would be driving yourself, you could bring the people accompanying you (in the back), with you, while the professional driver would be running shotgun.
It was an amazing experience altogether! Having some basic experience of off-roading in the past, it was a breeze to go through the tracks.
Oh and the icing on the cake, each participant (only those who has driven and completed the course) were given a personalized certificate and two gifts (an original
Mahindra keychain worth Rs. 275 and an
insulated sipper cup worth Rs. 650.
The goodies / refreshments were just to make you feel elated, but we all know that the main thing was the ability to drive on a proper off-road track!
I suspected a few Team-BHPians at the event, would be great to hear their experiences as well.

You were right. Only android auto is available for the N.
No timeline for CarPlay to be provided. How hard can it be to get this done for your highest end and top selling vehicles?
All times are GMT +5.5. The time now is 19:29. | |
