Re: Citroen C3 Review

Thanks for your impressive post. I was excited that finally I had found my car after all these days. In fact, I called up my wife to declare the same. Later, when I visited the website, found out that C3 does not offer Automatic. Seriously? My excitement vanished at the same pace it appeared with. I sincerely hope companies like Citroen can correct these basic mistakes to get foothold in the country.

Hi, you can consider C3 Aircross which is available in automatic. It's a very good car too.

I called however no one answered and no call back so far.

I am just curious to know that . Thanks again

Re: Citroen C3 Review

Congratulations for the car! C3 is a wonderful package. The amount of comfort it delivers is unmatched in that price bracket which I realised after my E-C3 test drive.

I agree with you here, the C3 has got the basics right, good engine, power, performance, striking design, and practicality and it is fun to drive with a good suspension, however with ATs becoming popular (in some cars sales of ATs are close to 50%), Citroen dropped the ball by not launching the C3 with the AT, but now considering the C3 Aircross comes with an AT, Citroen shouldn't delay much more and should launch the C3 AT as soon as possible. Moreover, they should launch a true top variant as well which brings most of the omitted features as well.

Thanks. I checked it out and found out that its a big car. I want a compact car such as a C3, with a small footprint.

Again, useful information here. I will wait for this.

Yes, you have summarized the situation well. When I started looking into C3 Aircross as suggested by /u/gck_tourer, I found that it has advertized "advanced safety" feature with dual airbags. I think they never even had the ball to drop with this approach. Even i10 Asta has all the requisite safety equipment and bells and whistles. I am not a fan of such unnecessary equipment (such as sunroof, touch screen etc), but they shouldnt have compromised a fine product in this fashion. This is like Apple crippling the iPadOS intentionally. Still, based on all the available info, I hope they will do a course correction with their July launches. Fingers crossed. Thanks everyone again with your thoughtful inputs.

Re: Citroen C3 Review

It looks like the NA variants of the c3 has gotten the digital cluster from C3 aircross and also some models have started getting flip keys, all these are from YouTube review videos, has anyone seen these new updates in the C3? I seriously hope that Citroen provides the necessary features which c3 is missing such as an auto AC, electrically foldable mirrors, proper power window switch placements and also to remove those flap door handles. I am really interested in owning one but is being put off by the absence of these features.

I took a test drive yesterday in Coimbatore. I can confirm that the current C3 Turbo Shine variant has a new fully digital instrument cluster from the C3 Aircross, and it also has flip keys. The only update I am looking forward to is having 6 airbags across all variants, or at least in the top variant.

I am going to hold my buying decision until they update to 6 airbags.

Re: Citroen C3 Review

Citroen should take a step back and think what all features they want to add in current C3, finalize them, work on feasibility to add to new cars as well as plan if any of these can be retrofitted in existing ones which were already purchased, market the changes publicly and add them in one go.

It looks like someone from software development is running Citroen product management and is literally following agile process. To people outside of software industry, Agile is a process where you want to introduce new feature every month or quarter, update software, get feedback from customer, incorporate new changes from feedback into the software and keep rolling out the updates regularly. Software can work this way, as people who already bought older version can get new features.
This does not work for cars, as once the car is bought new features are not designed in a way they can be retrofitted in previous models if owners are ready to pay for it. To me this lowers confidence and satisfaction as a buyer in the brand. I would definitely feel bad, if I bought a Citroen couple of months back spending lakhs, new features gets added every 3-6 months and my car would feel dated (feature wise) in less than 3 years compared to the current one.

This is exactly what's stopping me from buying a Citroen C3. In February, they announced that there would be six airbags and additional safety features starting from the second half of the year. However, there hasn't been any update since that announcement. I've tried contacting Citroen through email, Twitter, and Instagram, but they haven't responded.

Now, I'm hesitant to buy a Citroen with only two airbags. What if they launch an updated car with six airbags and other safety equipment within the next two months? I would regret buying a less equipped car for almost the same price.

Mod Note: Please quote ONLY the relevant bits of a post. Quoting a full, long post inconveniences our mobile readers.

Re: Citroen C3 Review

Does the updated c3 come with pretensioner and load limiters for the seat belt? Any information as to whether this is planned in any upcoming updates ?

Re: Citroen C3 Review

Citroen C3 with updated features as Basalt coming, revealed at the Basalt launch.

Additions include six airbags, automatic climate control, LED headlights and turn indicators on ORVM.
The key of the C3 has also been updated.
All these changes are expected to be made to the top-spec Shine variant.
Launch of the updated C3 expected soon.
Quote:
the digital driver’s display is now a larger 7-inch unit, which displays more information and has the tachometer.
Outside, one of the prime additions for the C3 hatchback are the LED projector headlights. Another feel good bit is the presence of the turn indicators on the ORVMs (earlier, it was on the fender). Apart from this, there have been no changes made to the exterior of the car.

Inside, the C3 now gets an automatic climate control unit and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Also, Citroen has updated the key of the car, which now looks more up to the times. However, in our opinion, one of the biggest update is the presence of six airbags, strengthening the safety quotient of the hatchback.
