Re: Volkswagen Virtus Review

Is there a way to have those tyres from Topline while buying a highline?

Re: Volkswagen Virtus Review

Introductory Pricing 10/10,
Launch Event 10/10,
Hype for GT 10/10.

VW has got almost everything right for the DSG Buyers, however one big question here:
I've already booked the Virtus DSG and its really a hard time understanding the logic of giving an Introductory pricing scheme for the buyers when your waiting period are already exceeding 8 Months. Price Protection plan for the pre-booking customers maybe?

Now when it comes to the variant pricing, looks like it’s literally neck and neck with the Slavia. Would really come down to the design language people prefer. Many BHPians have already spoken on their preference on the design, and I for one love the way Virtus looks, especially the GT line.
My Vento TSI, is just 6 year old and have recently gotten a Kodiaq, but it’s hard to not think of upgrading my Vento to the Virtus GT
Yup. The launch event was impressive. Compare this to the launch of the flagship product of the brand, Tiguan. What a world of difference.

Re: Volkswagen Virtus Review

I had booked the GT Line 10 days ago. Seems like only a very very few people will get the car with the introductory price as the waiting period is already quite high. Fingers crossed. However, I also feel that this is kind of a trick from volkswagen as there is no way they are going to give away too many Virtus’ at this price when the slavia is already prices higher

Re: Volkswagen Virtus Review

The introductory pricing is about 12k more than the introductory pricing of the Slavia. The Slavia 1.5 dsg was launched in Mar'22 at 17.8 lacs. And we saw a price hike of 60k within 3 months of launch.
I hope the GT would be available for atleast some customers at this introductory pricing and without the AC issues.

Re: Volkswagen Virtus Review

GT Line undercuts Slavia by a good margin. Looks wise this car doesn’t have any competition.

Man I saw the launch event live, brand director Mr Ashish Gupta was so stuttering so much while giving the presentation, he kinda ruined the whole event. He was totally out of the place.

Price seems to be okay for the base and mid variants at least. Hopefully, the virtus too gets off to a good start like the Slavia.

Re: Volkswagen Virtus Review

Volkswagen Virtus has received over 4,000 pre-bookings so far.

60% of the bookings have come for the 1.0-litre TSI version.

Re: Volkswagen Virtus Review

Pricing as expected, as we already have Slavia to benchmark.
Virtus 1.5 DSG undercuts Slavia 1.5 DSG by 47k, which I believe is only a matter of time when they will increase it to Slavia's pricing.

So those who are planning for 1.5 DSG, it is right time to buy. Though not sure by the time car is delivered whether they will get these introductory prices.

Recently saw a picture in Instagram where the owner has upsized the Slavia wheels to Lenso Jager Dyna 17 inchers, looked dope. I am sure Virtus will look great with 17 inchers too.

Re: Volkswagen Virtus Review

Are the specifications out for the different Variants? There's a price gap of 1.76 and 1.6 lakhs from the base variant to the topline. Would like to know, what are the incremental features we are getting for the price.

AT, there's a premium of 1.3 lakhs over the Manual. Even this is on the higher side, considering that the AT is just a Torque Converter. Or there are any additional specs applicable to only AT.

Re: Volkswagen Virtus Review

Here's how the newly-launched Volkswagen Virtus stacks up against its sibling, the Skoda Slavia, as well as other mid-size sedan rivals - the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Hyundai Verna, and Honda City.

Re: Volkswagen Virtus Review

Pricing is neither good nor bad. Problem is the insurance cost of 70k for the 1.0 highline at variant. At the moment they are not allowing to get self insurance. For reference attaching on road prices in Pune for Slavia, Taigun, Virtus and City.

Vw Taiguan Jan 2022 Price List.pdf

Slavia_AKOYA_w.e.f.03.03.2022.pdf

VIRTUS Price list.pdf

HONDA CITY 5 GEN.pdf

The City V variant makes a strong case for itself with discounts upto 30k if one can negotiate well. That rear seat is still better than Virtus hands down even if it loses on the ride and handling package to it.

Taigun is running offers for 50k if insurance is taken from VW. The Taigun build quality is a step down from Virtus but is it worth 50k is what you have to decide.

Same case with Slavia although the 8inch touchscreen in mid at variant is a big no at this moment.
