I don't think the sunroof variants have any provision for sunglass holder so these can't be retrofitted on Topline and GT variants!

Re: Volkswagen Virtus Review

To VAG owners in Calicut/Kozhikode - which petrol pump has XP95 or Power 95 fuel in the city? I wasn’t able to find one and had to refill my Virtus 1.0 AT with regular 91 octane for the first time since I purchased the vehicle in Jul 2022. Any pointers would be appreciated!

Am not sure about how it is on the highline on the topline just clicking ok on the steering control (right side center button) does away with this and any other obstructive message on the speedo.

As an automobile buff, it brings a lot of pleasure to mundane Sundays, which are now converted to early morning drives and Virtus car meets.
Here are a few of the sunday Morning Virtus meets.

These car meets make the ownership experience more enjoyable. Just simple breakfast meet-ups, and then everyone discussing their cars and what they've added or done. They discuss service experiences and help others out with any issues, sharing their own experiences, etc.

Also, it makes people want a Virtus more. It becomes more of an enjoyable hobby, albeit a very expensive one. Just imagine the sight of a Virtus convoy on the road..

Car meets make for a new hobby, passion, and fun, especially with the added joy of taking pictures.

These gatherings of Virtus enthusiasts brighten Sunday mornings as they convene for spirited discussions and a display of their beloved rides at a pre defined location.
Such one car or one brand meets have been common over the years. The purpose of these groups are exactly the points you have mentioned. We have quite a few clubs in the country for a few cult cars or niche brands in the country from the past decade. The most prominent ones are for Jeep compass/ Jeep, EcoSport Owners Club(almost every big city has one), Figo/Freestyle/Endeavor clubs across India which organise even off road events for their 4wds. These clubs are so influential that service discounts or goodwill warranties are sometimes provided to the owners.

I don't think the common cars or brands such as Maruti or Hyundai have exclusive clubs or owners clubs(except the OG 800/Zen/Baleno and S cross). It's mostly the niche brands or models that have earned a cult status in the market.

Slowly the car culture is spreading across different brands and segments in India and it's a good thing. Some of the multi brand meetups are conducted by cars and coffee, team 88 and of course team bhp(wouldove to be a part of one such event soon).

Just a generic query regd Fuel. I dont have XP95 outlets of indianOil near my house but I have an HP COCO pump selling Power95. I hope thats HP's equivalent of XP95, I mean the quality should be of the same level, am I right?

Good to hear, you are doing justice to it’s name GT. Virtus is that one car which looks good in all the colours and Virtus GT in white looks menacing especially with black-white contrast

What were the offers running here in Raipur, I enquired few days back for a friend and there was discounts on 1.0 tsi but GT had a negligible benefit.

This IndianOil unit at Chakkorathukulam, on Kannur Road, offers XP95. There may be more units around Calicut, but I've only resorted to this one since I took delivery.

Re: Volkswagen Virtus Review

Hi guys. I have asked at my SVC in Nanakramguda, Hyderabad and they had no clue what i was talking about. It would be of great help if any one has information about the bonnet insulation for a Virtus, in Hyderabad. Couldn't find the same in Bodmo as well. Tried searching for a Slavia bonnet insulation and voila!! Found this - https://boodmo.com/catalog/part-soun..._lid-58317950/
Will this work for the Virus? What about the clips? Any help appreciated.

Can’t say about quality, but yes Power 95 is the 95 RON variant of HP. Been using the same interchangeably with IndianOil XP95 for my Virtus, and have had no reason for complaint so far.

Not much compared to 1.0 tsi. I got 30k straight off on ex showroom price, insurance was slashed to almost half and they did not charge me anything for the basic accessories(11k?).

[quote=kaviprem;5769005]Wow! Thats raining Virtus, specifically GT+

I took my Virtus GT+ in Lava Blue a couple of weeks back.

Heartiest congratulations. Happy cruising. I took delivery of the same variant and colour last month. Completed about 3000 KM so far.

The one opposite to Suzuki Motorcycle showroom at Nadakkavu area, The one between Paroppady and NGO quarters, Marqaz Indian Oil, and towards Waynad, almost every bunk has XP95 except the newer one near Engapuzha. The one near commissioner office inside city too have XP95.

You can use the Indian oil app to find it quicker.
