For me A/c cooling is paramount for purchasing a new car. North Indian summer is quite harsh and my route is bumper to bumper traffic. Ac needs to chill quite fast.
Quite a bit has already been written about it on this thread.

If you have made up your mind about buying a Virtus go for it. However, since AC efficacy is a major point for you, note that cabin cooling is not fast at all. If you have sat in a Ford, Honda or a Toyota (not etios), you will find the Aircon in the Virtus to be inadequate.

With the external temperature at 39 deg C, I had to run aircon+seat ventilation at full blast for several minutes to cool the cabin down to acceptable levels.

A Honda City is your best bet if cooling is a priority.

On a totally different note, steer clear of the Slavia/Virtus DSG if a significant chunk of your driving includes B2B traffic. The DSG is not ideal for such applications.

Re: Volkswagen Virtus Review

Yesterday took delivery of my Virtus GT Plus dsg MY24.

Have already driven over 200km in less than 24 hours and the car is hoots to drive. Have made sure so far I don’t exceed the speed above 90km/hr. At least till first service is done.

Regarding air conditioner I don’t want to jump the gun too soon but so far so good. Yesterday in the afternoon it was around 41 degrees here and I kept the temperature at low and fan speed at 3 and it did perform pretty well. After some time while listening to music I realised there is some weird noise from the door. Removed the empty water bottle and it was all normal. When I refilled the bottle again it was not making any noise.

I will try to write a detailed review of my experience once the car has done 2000kms.

Here are some of the pictures

I have done a few of the changes.
1. Hood insulation done for Rs. 856
2. Sunglasses holder from Skoda for Rs. 940
3. Ticket holder on windshield from Skoda for Rs. 47
4. Sporty aluminium pedals from Skoda for Rs. 899 ( these were Rs. 499 few months back)
5. High gloss black paint on wheels (local vendor)
6. Black leatherette seats (changes the aesthetics of the car immensely; for good)

Looking forward to get gloss black finish on B-pillars
Upgrade the mats inside and boot
Footwell lamps from Skoda/VW
Puddle lamps from VW
Under seat woofer from Sony
And lastly coding to unlock features (need time for this)

I have a Virtus GT and Kushaq 1L MT, cooling on the GT is significantly better than the Kushaq. But when compared to other brands I would call GT to be adequate. If a Honda/Hyundai takes 2 min to cool the GT will take 4 min for similar situation. However fellow BHPians have made some tweaks in both Slavia and Virtus for faster cooling which seems to be working.

Is this rectifiable? Can Any audio experts can help me out here? Checked with local shops here and they told me it can be reduced with dampening. Not sure if this is because Volkswagen added sub and amplifier and did not do proper sound dampening that this is happening
I'm facing a similar issue with my car. It doesn't have an amp, so the speakers are less powerful compared to yours. Despite being less powerful, they vibrate and cause irritation. The rattling sound seems to be coming from the door panel. Interestingly, when I press it firmly, the rattling disappears.
Already escalated the issue many times .now waiting for their technical person's to visit the dealership.

As “neoakshay” has pointed out, I removed the water bottles in the door and now the vibration or zarring sound is gone. Almost by 90%. Pleas try it. It might work.

One thing I've noticed in my Virtus is that when bottles are placed in the doors they do audible vibrate. If you've done the same, please remove any bottles and see if the vibration still occurs. If this is not the cause, try reducing the bass on the MID and see if that is what's causing this.
I had removed the water bottles from the door and now almost 90% vibrations are gone. Thanks

Wow! Thats raining Virtus, specifically GT+

I took my Virtus GT+ in Lava Blue a couple of weeks back. In my first week, I completed about 500 KMs with a drive to Chennai [Trichy - Chennai].
It's like day and night difference while I compare with my Honda City CVT in regard to highway manners. Virtus excels City in every department as expected. BTW, I am NOT referring to DSG v/s CVT thats a well known fact and both has its own pros and cons.

I plan to write my detailed review in next week or so. Till then, a couple of delivery-time photos here.

Congrats on your purchase. Virtus looks stunning in lava blue colour specially in GT version.

Hi, do you have any connections in Skoda dealership that you leveraged.

When I approached Skoda dealership here in Kolkata regarding accessories for my Virtus, they simply turned me down stating they can only bill it against a Slavia hence won’t sell.

No.
No connections. Skoda workshop at Okhla (South Delhi) were very supportive and welcoming.
I was trying to book another sunglasses holder for a freind who has Virtus too but they didn't agree.
By the way, sunglasses holder is available on Boodmo (same freind has got it from there albeit a little expensive at 1100 incl everything) which you can fit yourself - but do refer YouTube videos - there are a some!
You can also get Slavia's rear windshield sun shade at Boodmo
Similarly, you can also try aluminium pedals too from Slavia - direct fit.
Noticed that chrome window trim is cheaper at Skoda workshop for 2700 which costs 3000-3500 at VW.

Congratulations for your new car. Virtus GT looks smashing in white, looks really elegant. If I may ask, is it Raipur, because the showroom and the roads look familiar to me

Re: Volkswagen Virtus Review

Just came back from a 1650 kms trip to Harsil Valley (Uttrakhand) from Rajasthan in my Virtus Topline 1.0 AT. Some feedback and pics follow :

1. Driving is a bliss. Perfect handling and stability at 110+ speed was the reason why I chose this car and the car proved my decision to be a correct one.
2. Seat Comfort is amazing which made the long routes easier. I highly recommend getting a neck pillow for the driver. (I bought one from Frido website)
3. Ground Clearance was tested at Nelong Valley. I feared the car would get scarped from the bottom and it didn't.
4. Hill hold assist is amazing. Coming from an 11 year old Maruti Suzuki Dzire, this feature is a godsend.
5. Boot space is a godsend. Car is driven solo by me 99% of the time but on this trip with friends, I utilized every inch of it and it was a factor that amazed everyone.

Cons :
1. The vertical FOV is very less. I had a hard time watching rainbows and magnificent hills. I don't know if this is with all the Sedans but this has been a complaint from 2 of my friends.
2. No hill descent. Why VW ?
3. The car was coughing on very steep climbs which were hairpin bent. Paddle shifters made that part slightly easier.
