Slavia has option of both Manual and DSG Transmission with the 1.5 TSI engine.

There are lot of DQ200's in Octavia running more than 250nm torque, you can actually see quiet a few of them in these top tuners insta pages. Infact while getting my TDI tuned I met a guy who is running stage 2 ECU and TCU with apprx 240bhp and 380nm for more than a year and as per him the car was running without any issues.
So honestly I dont see any issue with Slavia too, also it has a manual gearbox.

Ah. Having read so many DQ200 issues i didn't go ahead with stage 1 remap. Tbf the 1.8 TSi doesn't really need it as its quite quick and already feels light and bouncy for its stock power.

Dont think a remap will make the DQ200 more unreliable. Though some of the tuners claim that TCU tune will improve the reliability of DQ200, I am more of a believer that the reliability will be same as stock.
Suspension update is something I will strongly suggest even for stage 1, whether Slavia 1.5 or Octavia 1.8. Even for Octavia TDI I directly did a Bilstein B6 upgrade along with remap and it makes a whole lot of difference.

Hi guys,
Did a minor cosmetic upgrade today. Got the roof and ORVM's wrapped in gloss black. Uploading pics clicked in the shop. Looking good in my opinion. Please let me know what you think...
It looks really cool and gives a more sporty character.
Also you can look at dechroming that chrome elements in the front, rear and sides.

Looking at what Skoda did with Kushaq, just dechrome your Slavia, add black alloys and voila, you will get your own Monte Carlo version minus the hideous red inserts on the interior.

With Octavia moving up the price band to 30+ lakhs and Elantra with dull engine options for D segment, enthusiasts have very little choice in sedans at around 25 lakhs.
That’s where the demand for Slavia 1.5 is more than expected, there aren’t much choice for sedan lovers who need that extra performance.
Hyundai should atleast put that 1.4 turbo in Elantra, if not Verna
India bought more Skoda cars than any other country save Germany in March making it the best phase for the Czech company’s India subsidiary since making its debut here 20 years ago

Skoda ramping up production of the Slavia 1.5L TSI
At present, the 1.5L TSI variants of the Skoda Slavia have a waiting period of 4 months. However, this is likely to come down as the carmaker is ramping up production of these variants.
According to Zac Hollis, Director, Sales and Marketing, Skoda India, the company is looking to bring the production of the Slavia 1.5L TSI on par with the 1.0L variants. The latter currently has a waiting period of 2 months.
Hollis has also confirmed that the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict and the global chip shortage have had an adverse effect on the availability of certain components used in the 1.5L engine. He expects parts supply to improve from May.
Top variants of the Slavia are offered with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that makes 148 BHP and 250 Nm. The engine is mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission.

We booked the 1.5 DSG in Crystal Blue colour on the 11th of April in Goa. The sales consultant was pushing us towards the 1.0 TC saying it is almost as quick and a couple of lakhs cheaper. He also said that we would have to be prepared to wait for at least 5 weeks to a couple of months for the 1.5, whereas the 1.0 would be delivered in 2 weeks. We stuck to our decision of going for the 1.5.
Got a message from the sales consultant a couple of days back saying he has got allocation for this month for the 1.5 DSG in Carbon Steel, Silver and White colours. So he asked us if we would like to change our colour preference for quicker delivery. We agreed to switch to Carbon Steel as during booking itself we were in a dilemma whether to go for the Blue or Carbon Steel. This made the decision easier.
The expected date of delivery is sometime between 25th to 30th of May now. Let's see when the car actually arrives. The waiting periods mentioned by all on this forum for the 1.5 are quite long. I would be pleasantly surprised if I manage to get delivery by the end of May.
