Sometimes even the paint shade difference is noticed after few days or few months and the workshop is bound to rectify that as well.

I hope this issue is limited to the plastic bumper and not found on any metal part. It looked like rust when I first looked at your pictures which worried me since I am firm believer that VW/Skodas do not rust since they use galvanized metal sheets. I have 13 year Polo and there is no sign of rust even on few deep scratches after so many years. I hope the VW groups is still providing the same quality in the new gen cars in India.
Exactly what I thought and approached the dealer as I have been purchasing my insurance through dealer since the car purchase. But body shop manager was quite arrogant. He went on to claim that Skoda's car will not lose colour even if left in open for 20 years and all these cases have happened because of various external impacts. How can we argue rationally with such people?

However, all these cases have appeared on plastic part and not on any metal. Thanks for your concern. Cheers

Though its tough to deal with such people but try to convince him that you agree that Skoda will not lose paint for years but the concerned part is no more a Skoda part, its now a repaired part by the Saisha Workshop and there seems to be some step missed or messed up during the painting process which is causing the issue.

There must be some customer care number on the insurance papers, try approaching there.

Re: Skoda Slavia Review

Hello, Team BHP & Skoda Slavia Community

I would like to appreciate the response on my first post on the review, today I would like to add two new mods I've done to improve the user experience of my car.

Noise Damping & Aluminium Pedals

Aluminium Pedals were 1098₹ from SC including installation.
Noise Damping is a controversial upgrade in the aftermarket industry altogether, I believe no matter the safety rating or thickness of the sheet metal, it can use some calculated damping. This applies regardless of your intent to upgrade the audio setup o lr replace OEM Muffler for better exhaust noise. Damping can help with reducing NVH (Noise - Vibration - Harshness) & Thermal Insulation.

I used 8 sheets of 2.1mm Morel 121.15 Accudamp Mats (460mmX800mm) costing me 750₹ per Sheet.
I also added 2 sheets of Blaupunkt Door Pad Vibration Arrester to the thinnest portion of the door plastic, costing me 850₹per Sheet (400mmX800mm)

Rates include precise & professional installation, if you order sheets seperately, 60-110₹ per sheet is the labor cost of installation. I spent 6 hours following around the installers & ended up doing a 3 layer damping job.

I've used the car with the damping for a week now & I can say it did work well for NVH levels & less so thermal insulation albeit it's 47°C in Delhi NCR right now.

Conclusion: I would definitely recommend doing the upgrade for any kind of audiophiles, it does clear up the stock output of the poorly constructed VWAG 20W Speakers.

Attached photos show lots of before & after.
(P.S. I have OEM Bonet Damping yet I chose to partially fill bonet with a specific damping material.)

Cost cutting is clearly visible in panels to compete in the this market segment.

Re: Skoda Slavia Review

Skoda Slavia 24th Anniversary deal going on!

Was getting 2023 1.5 TSI Ambition AT for 16.5L on-road (Mumbai).

The dealer wasn't able to confirm the month of the make, he said to book and then share the VIN number allocated to get that information.

This was a SOLID deal, but unfortunately my heart is already set on the XUV 3xo (parents love the pano sunroof)!

However, missing bits would be- Electric Seats, 10 Inch Infotainment and Subwoofer.
Hi Sudeep,

Can you share what was the ex showroom charged to you for the MY23 model.

I was charged Rs. 18,83,400 as the ex showroom by the Ranchi dealer. Same ex-showroom pricing was shared by the Jamshedpur dealer.

Today my friend was checking the Škoda website, the ex showroom for MY23 models is Rs. 17,49,000.

I want to know if the Ranchi dealer has taken me for a ride or there is an issue with the Škoda website.
This is giving my serious anxiety!

Re: Skoda Slavia Review

Hi all. I had a small mishap with my MY24 Slavia. Due to a rock chip, the front windshield got cracked. The car has also accumulated a few battle scars on the front bumper. Any recommended Skoda authorized service center in Mumbai which the forum recommends? I’ve had a few interactions with Mody Skoda Kurla, and they seem average. The location is also quite inconvenient to get to - one might say the car is likely to get another scratch or two reaching there. For context, I stay in the Vikhroli/Ghatkopar area.

Hi mizu, assuming you are from Mumbai and if you don't mind sharing, can you please help me with the dealer specifics who was offering discount on 2023 1.5 TSI Ambition MY23 model. I am planning to buy the exact same model and the mentioned deal definitely looks Solid.
Thanks in advance!

Hey this wasn't a dealer discount, it was a discount offered by Skoda on their website. I think it's over now! Just contact your dealer and ask them to update you if Skoda launches some discounts.

Re: Skoda Slavia Review

I fitted a bootlip spoiler today on my slavia 1.5. Purely for aesthetic reasons, I think it looks cool even though there is no actual use. I might go in for cobra lowering springs soon. Does anyone have any experience with them on a slavia? I think the only eye sore in the cars design are its gaping wheel to arch gaps.

You got a decent deal. Only thing is that the discount is applied on OTR. In my case, I wanted to get the car registered in a different state. Also, wanted to get the insurance from outside.

Therefore, in my case the deal was on the ex-showroom price which was. 18.83 Lacs.

I checked 4-5 dealers telephonically, zeroed down to who gave the best discounts.

Re: Skoda Slavia Review

Hi, I have a Slavia 1.0 AT bought in June 2023. I had all the obvious issues that everybody has pointed out here.

However, one thing that bothers me a lot and I haven't found listed here is the sound (whirling sound) the power windows make when going up or down. All 4 of them.

Any ideas what I should do? Is this normal? Thanks.

Re: Skoda Slavia Review

The aluminium pedal definitely adds more style. I had a query regarding the damping, will it void the warranty if we are damping the front Bonet? I heard cases where vehicles catch fire and company blames it's because of after market accessory. Just that we have put our hard earned money here wanted to get experts opinion before adding that to my Kushaq 1.5.

Great Job in the Dampening!

I've been planning to do something of this sort for a while, but this workshop guy told me not to do it saying that the Sheets fall loose after years, but looking at your job I think it shouldn't be a problem.
