(I've noticed a common issue with the rear fender linings in my Kia Carens. They're made of a carpet-like material that sags significantly after a few thousand kilometers.)

During my 40000 km service, I have also raised this issue. They have refused to cover it under the warranty and told me that even if we fix a new one, it won't be like the original fitment and will eventually come down in a few months. So I am continuing with the same worn out material.

Hi,
I bought my Carens Prestige in Jan'24 and for the past month touch is not being registered in the right 15% of the screen. It works on the left edge of the "Map" button, but the Phone Projection's Connect button and Carplay's right sidebar are unusable. Anyone else is facing the issue? I have my 1st year service coming up and will ask to fix this in warranty, but asking here in case anyone else has faced it and can share their experience with the issue.

Someone in this forum had faced a similar issue and got the entire unit replaced under warranty. Please go through the forum and probably they might be able to guide you better.

I have had the 8” touchscreen on my Prestige T-GDi IMT become completely unresponsive. The dealer checked it out and has agreed to replace it under warranty, it’s been almost a month however and the replacement screen has not yet been dispatched. I have been informed by the dealer that the “stock will be dispatched” by the factory from 10th January onwards and has given me an ETA of January end for the fix. My Carens was purchased in September 2023 and has run just over 13k kms.

Hello,

I had faced similar problem starting with initial touch screen hanging and becoming unresponsive but got solved on restarting, highlighted it on my 3rd service(i.e 2nd year service). But they did not find anything and told to come if problem surfaces again.

I was unaware at that time, that warranty for the touch screen is for only 2 years even if extended warranty purchased, which I learned hard way.

Do get in touch with Kia Workshop as soon as u encounter touch screen problem and not wait for schedule service.
