They are amazing. However, on low beam one can't drive safely beyond 50 KMPH. If using in low beam, better to stay below 50 KMPH.

Re: 2022 Skoda Kodiaq Facelift Review | 2.0L Petrol DSG

Hi,

My 7k run kodiaq suffered front left tyre sidewall cut this week. It came with MRF Markus from the factory.

Now my questions are
1) Should I replace two tyres or just one would do, given that its been only 7k kms

2) Have not been able to find the tyre size at MRF stores in HSR and Sarjapur road, so is it ok to replace with another brand?

Congratulations on the Kodiaq, just curious - did you buy it for yourself, as I dont see it in your footnote/garage. If you did - why did you sell it so soon?
I am just slightly scared buying a SKODA, but inclined towards it..

Although miles is a good indication, it will be better to properly gauge the thread depth of the second tire that makes up the pair.
If we consider just the miles, it's safe to purchase just one tire. Ofcourse this is applicable only if you are getting the same exact brand.

If you are changing brand, please do in pair as the thread pattern, material etc are different

Only White and Lava Blue appears to be in stock at present.
Black is also showing as sold out.

Isn't it how business works?
The manufacturer will attempt to do all sorts of promotions to sell the product that's about to be retired at minimal loss as possible. I think Skoda is doing that at the moment with the series of sales offers.

Infact, it's a good time for those eyeing the Kodiaq as they get to decide whether to buy this generation at the given offers or wait few more months for the newer generation as most of the features are also available for comparison. The only unknown is the new gen price.

Best opportunity to make an informed decision.

Was wanting the grey color which was earlier unavailable through the online booking process but suddenly it shows the grey in stock. Booked the lava blue earlier. Really confused about the longevity of the lava blue color vs the grey since it isn't the BMW blue. What's your take on it?

Re: 2022 Skoda Kodiaq Facelift Review | 2.0L Petrol DSG

Lava Blue is superb! I think it is a pretty timeless color. More subtle than BMW Imperial Blue, yet very striking when seen in bright light. With less light it looks darker.

Today is the last day to book under the best of Skoda offer, still looks like many vehicles are still available to book, including 2023 VIN/2023 Model Year. I would not be surprised if the 2023 model year vehicles are offered at a later date with a sweeter discount.

I love minimalistic understated colors.
Lava Blue is fabulous - but given the two colors, I would choose Grey anyday. I was also inclined for Grey but as it wasn't available within required timeline [10th anniversary], I went for White.

I love the grey. My superb was business grey. Didn’t get the option to get the grey in the kodiaq and now getting the lava blue. White i thought was basic yet classic. No black. Lava blue is a new color for us. Never had something like this

I was finally able to track down an MRF tyre at a dealer. He shared an image, and I am trying to get the manufacturing date from the tyre. However, the code after "DOT" doesn't seem to have numbers to show the week/year of manufacturing. The code is "DOT 19L 3LMKRO." I'm not sure how to read this. I am attaching images of the tyre.

I took delivery of the Lava Blue on 15th Feb 2023, same day as my colleague who took delivery of his Grey Kodiaq. Both of us got our vehicles ceramic (Ulgo Glass coating) at Dabler Auto, Bangalore and year and half later, both are still looking great - However, the major difference is in how much TLC the Lava blue needs to be kept in showroom condition as compared to the Grey which is a lot more forgiving.
I have the lava blue shiny and squeaky clean as I start from home and 30mins later when I reach work, the mirror gloss is reduced by 30% due to a coat of fine dust. Whereas the dust is not so noticeable on the grey.
So if you are like me who finds cleaning my car therapeutic and pay the apartment car cleaning guy to stay away from your car, Lava Blue can be more satisfying. Else, go for the grey.

Grey was my first choice but it went out of stock. No option and now going for the Lava blue. How’s the headlight performance for you at night?

Can you please share the other side image? The one marked 'OUTSIDE'.
You should find a four digit number just after the DOT details. First two digits will be week of the year and last two digits shows year

The headlight performance is very good indeed- both for city driving and highways. Very good spread and coverage with sharp cutoff low beams that don’t cause glare to oncoming vehicles. Thet high beams are very bright and can force most oncoming high beamers to dip their lights. Having said that, the Kodiaq lights are not the brightest out there, but maybe better than 80% of the car. ( I found my cousin’s BMW X1 headlight to be a tad bit brighter)

Re: 2022 Skoda Kodiaq Facelift Review | 2.0L Petrol DSG

I honestly think the Tiguans headlights are brighter and sharper. BMWs have the sharpest lights as compared to the big 3 in my opinion
