My Tiguan is a MY2023 ,vw ahmedabad didn't have the car in stock they had bring it from vw vapi and I think there is one white MY2023 in vw vadodara
If you don't mind saying, what was the price you got from VW?

Hey guy, sorry for back to back post. I got an offer for MY23 Silver Tiguan from VW Ahmedabad for 35.85 Lacs on-road including RTO corp. tax which is double of individual RTO tax. Is it a good deal? This includes 4 year SVP and 30k accessories.
I am trying to include 4+2 EW but realistically I think can convince them for 4+1 EW.

Other option is Tucson Diesel Signature for 36.5 on-road. The spacious interior and back seat justifies the amount being paid, also missing of features like 360 Camera, BVM and Ventilated seats in the Tiguan feels like a compromise even after paying huge bucks. I am used to these features after driving my Seltos for 5 years.

If you like driving yourself you should go with the tiguan you won't regret it.

Re: 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan Facelift Review

Hey guys, was going through the 2017 VW Tiguan review and two small things caught my eye which I am not sure are being carried froward to current model or not. Can anyone confirm this. The reviewer of the article was our Mod @Aditya.

1) Ambient lighting along the length of the roof + the usual places like on door, inside door handles, and illuminated footwell and scuff plates. Attaching link below.

2) Washer jet available for reversing camera. As pointed out by member @Voyager-1 .

Thanks.

Hey sidenzo, All off the features that you mentioned above are still present in the current generation of the tiguan.

To use the jet washer for the rear view camera you have to use the rear wiper and the rear view camera on the screen.

In addition, the facelift introduced a couple of new features, most notably the wireless charger.

The ambient lighting along the length of the panoramic roof was initially disabled in 2018 and completely removed 2019 onwards as it involved fire risk due to short circuit. It was a global recall.
The ambient light continued to be there on door pads, along the dash, door levers, scuff plates, et al.

The rear camera spray continues.

Are MY24 Tiguan still being made and sold in India? Has VW stopped production of Tiguans in India?

Re: 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan Facelift Review

I went to BU Bhandari VW Pune over the weekend, the sales person was claiming all MY2023 Tiguans are sold out in Maharashtra. Is that true ?
I see from the posts above that some are still available in Ahmedabad.

Re: 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan Facelift Review

I checked with 2 dealerships in Uttarakhand and they told me that all MY2023 cars are sold out.
I got an initial quote of 38.9 OTR for the MY2024 car. Does this car make sense at this price or should I wait till Nov/Dec for further discounts?

It's way over priced for the amount of kit. MY23 discounted was lucrative but this is not ideal. If you could stretch it, go for the Kodiaq or the next best option that is Tucson Signature Diesel 4x2.

Re: 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan Facelift Review

Have booked a MY2024 Tiguan in Bangalore - so 2024 models are now going to be available. Although the car they have allocated me is manufactured in Jan 2024. So assume some inventory build up as they were clearing MY2023 cars so far.

Re: 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan Facelift Review

Dear All,

This is regarding the automatic climate control on 2024 Tiguan. When the climate control is put on Auto, the air circulation is getting switched off. Is this expected behavior ? Why can't both Auto and recirculation both stay ON ?

Yes, that is the expected behavior. Though, I have noticed that even if you manually enable recirculation mode, the Auto AC keeps functioning normally (maintaining set cabin temp, auto changing blower speed) despite the Auto switch light not being lit.

If you are ok to share, would love to know the price and the dealer as I am in the same boat - considering Tiguan for the next purchase.

Agree, the pressing of the air recirculation button only disables auto recirculation and temperature and fan speed can still remain in auto mode, although the Auto indicator will turn off.

If you read the manual, the recirculation is supposed to work automatically as the AC is equipped with outside odour detection. This will keep working in the background without you noticing and every time the flap closes, you won't see the recirculation light illuminate.

As a rule, all ACs are supposed to take in fresh air from the outside and blow it inside, so as to also maintain the CO2 levels in the cabin. For example, the recirculation flap will automatically close when you put the car in reverse, this is programmed to avoid exhaust gasses to enter the cabin while reversing. Makes sense, doesn't it? The manual also mentions that if the smells outside are still bad and the recirculation doesn't switch on automatically, then you should intervene and temporarily enable it.

Hyundai goes one step further and gives the option to enable recirculation mode automatically when you use the windshield washer, to avoid the smell of the cleaning agent entering the cabin as it spills near the engine bay during spraying.

I personally always leave it in Auto, and turn it on manually when I am stuck in slow traffic, or following a lorry emitting particularly nasty black smoke which I can see from a distance. The AIRCARE feature also works on the same logic. It senses unpleasant odours and activates / deactivates on its own. But if you so wish, you can activate it manually from the AC setup menu on the touch screen.
