Re: 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan Facelift Review

Fellow Tiguan owners, please help with two queries:
1) Windows lock button. It only locks rear windows. Is there no way to lock front passenger side window? My honda city window lock button locks all 3 but Tiguan locks only rear 2.
2) Instrument cluster options - There are 3 in the settings. Of which classic is not editable. Other two seem the same to me as you can edit the display components within the speedometer and odometer circles. Are there other options? Why I am asking is because in Classic the items displayed in the two circles are Gear (left) and Speed (right). In other two, there is no Speed option for display in either of the circles. What I want is Speed in one circle and fuel efficiency in other. Is that possible?
3) The armrest holder once opened, does not close fully in one step. It stops half way and then you have to press again to close it fully. Is this a bug or a feature? I am using it as a feature which helps me increase the height of the armrest.
4) I am running the vehcile on 33psi in all 4 tyres. Is that ok?

This is a feature, which lets you to have the armrest in a higher position. I have it on my Tiguan Allspace and find it useful (default position is way too low for me)

Re: 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan Facelift Review

Anyone here replaced the stock alloys with Sebring alloys from 3rd party vendor? VW dealer in Bangalore is quoting 1.6L for new set (no exchange), which is quite steep!

Re: 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan Facelift Review

In my Tiguan which is MY2022, the recommendation is 95 and minimum required is 91. But I have been using XP95 all along. But I think if your car is bought post April 2023, when the BS VIA norms came in to effect, they might have updated the recommendation to 95 Octane.

Have not bought the car yet. But went to showroom and checked MY23 cars in stock. Older BS6 version with black interior has min 95 Ron and newer BS6.2 has min 95 Ron and recommended 98. Pics are attached. Could you please share a pic of MY22 car fuel lid?

Re: 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan Facelift Review

Guys I had a chat with a local VW dealer I've been in touch with over the past year regarding the Tiguan:

The last time I asked him about E20 compatibility he very clearly told me he was not sure, the last time being MY2022 production. Now this confirmation of E20 fuel for MY2023 took me by surprise.

The 2.0 TSI (with AWD) in the MY2023 Kodiaq is still E10.

No way they are going to have a totally different powertrain on the Tiguan which is E20.

BS6.2 and E20 are mutually exclusive.
