The Amaze doesn't get a sunroof on any of it's variants so, chances are, installing an aftermarket one would require cutting or modifying structural components of the roof. This could compromise the integrity of the body shell. Even if Honda engineered the chassis to accommodate a sunroof, would that ensure a proper seal to prevent leaks? Water leaking directly into the cabin could case various electrical issues, rust or mold formation problems. Additionally, how does it affect legality and insurance coverage?

As for traffic on Prayagraj Road, yes we are aware of it. But given the options we have, this appeared to be the best. Quote:
But you are right, installing sunroof would involve cutting open the roof. I have seen a video where autobahn car accesories (a famed auto accesories shop) in Vizag had done it for Swift Dzire and Amaze 1st gen. But, like I said, we didn't witness its performance in real life conditions. Also, it would definitely void my car's warranty. I guess even the ECU Re-map would void the warranty. There is no pressing need for a sunroof or ECU remap for now, except for the novelty. I'd better stop my mods while I am still ahead and call it a day ![]() Last edited by Aditya : 27th February 2025 at 07:21. Reason: Back to back posts merged

Like I said, I better stop while I am still ahead ![]() An Update on Aha Nexcruise System As mentioned in my previous posts, me and my father planned to travel to Prayagraj in our Amaze. So, 4 people, including my uncles (mom's brothers) set off from Visakhapatnam using the Vizag-Berhampur- Sambalpur- Mirzapur road. The drive is fantastic and we never felt a dearth of power, even while overtaking. Amaze is a car which is very happy to run all day at 100kmph. The suspensions did bottom out at a few places because of 4 travellers plus luggage setup, and Amaze's rear suspension setup being soft by default. But nothing serious. All undulations were happily wrapped up by the suspension. Air conditioning worked perfectly by adjusting blower speed as per outside temperature. Overall, it was a very comfortable "fill it- shut it- forget it" experience. Coming to Aha Nexcruise, this drive provided us (me and my father, the drivers) plenty of time to explore the features of Nexcruise and use it extensively (almost 85% of the trip was with Cruise Control Engaged). Happy to say, the cruise control works perfectly. There is a slight lag when you set the cruising speed and lift your foot off the accelerator, with cruise control kicking in with a lag of 2-3 seconds, but it is not a big disadvantage. The cruise control disengages when brakes are pressed, and can be re-engaged to previous set speed by long press (3 sec) of the cruise control button. In case you want to overtake, just press accelerator, finish the overtake and release the pedal, and the cruise control returns to its set speed. The eco, city and sports mode in cruise control dial adjusts the throttle response accordingly, with Eco being most sedate, fuel saving one, where minor throttle inputs are ignored. The sports mode on the other hand is fuel guzzler, with throttle response being very sharp. As for fuel economy when using cruise control, happy to report a mileage of 17kmpl overall, all due to ghats drinking fuel, and our national highways being just a double carriageway for most of the trip (almost 80% of NH after Berhampur was a double carriageway). Also, my father's spirited driving (maybe to feel like a racer!?) didn't help things on the mileage front. That being said, I got to try out Nexcruise alone, on Vizag-Vijayawada route, a mostly 4-lane road till Rajahmundry and a 6-Lane road from there to Vijayawada (Kovvur Bypass). That road is where the Nexcruise shined. I drove at 90kmph all the way, and extracted an excellent mileage of 19kmpl. Unfortunately I did not take any pictures, as the drive was a midnight ride and everybody wanted to just hit the bed. All in all, I am very very satisfied with the product, giving it a double thumbs up and would highly recommend this to anyone thinking of getting a cruise control system for Amaze CVT. Hello everyone, I am seriously considering a headlight and fog light upgrade for my Amaze. The variant is Amaze VX CVT, so the headlamp is projector setup and the fog lamps are LED Setup. I have come across this for the headlight upgrade: https://autoglam.in/collections/hond...lights-agha630 I am seriously considering the above. I am just skeptical about the beam power and I am wondering if it would make any difference on road or is it just coametic upgrade. As for LED Foglamps, I have plans to go for higher Lumens Setup. Also, can someone suggest a good subwoofer and sound setup for Amaze? Request members to provide their valuable suggestions. Thanks in advance. Last edited by Rudra Sen : 27th February 2025 at 08:27.
