Hi alpha photon, followed all your posts related to this issue. I am facing the exact same issue on my 2023 XUV700 AX7L P AT. When the car is stationary and I move the steering extreme right, it makes the tak tak tak sound, like a bolt getting tightened. Sent a video to my service advisor, and he has asked me to bring it to the workshop. Do you have any latest update on this issue? I was suspecting a link rod issue.

+1, and nope. Not just you. Others have faced it in this thread and I have faced it too. Unless the road is absolutely flat, the IRVM vibrates quite a bit on mine. While not ideal, something I can live with. What I am not able to get by is the lack of dimming IRVM. Is there any fix/suggestions for that? I m really used to auto dimming from my 10 lakh 2018 mid variant ciaz?

Exactly that is the point. MT version does not have Adaptive Cruise Control.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

The rear parking sensors on my less than 3 year old XUV seem to have gone kaput.
Has any one faced the same? Is changing the sensors only solution?

There is a third party mod available in youtube. Durvient is your keyword. Take your precautions before deciding on this or similar product. I had same curiosity and stumbled upon this recently but couldn't find courage to take a leap of faith yet.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Got this message on the infortainment screen yesterday:

I did not get the time to do this; has anybody tried this OTA update?

Someone on Reddit posted something similar too. Yet to see something on my car - AX7L P AT Oct 2022 model.

i thought it's only for the infotainment system but it started updating the MID as well. don't know how much fuel i have, blinkers/hazards not working, don't know the speed. The only reason why i want analog basic meters back in cars.
This is what the screen looked like mid-update:

Good to know I am not the only one.

To counter the lack of auto dimming IRVM, I tried this and loved it.

UDee Broadway Car Rear View Mirror HD Anti Glare Universal Panoramic Rearview Mirror Blue Tint

It is not a wide angle one, as the name suggests, but is big enough for the XUV. I would argue this is the right size, better than the stock mirror. Apparently this is made in Japan.

Disclaimer: I am just a happy user. Not affiliated with the product.

Thanks for this. Ordering it right away. Is anyone else facing the issue quoted by alpha photon and now me - that is, while the car is stationary and the steering wheel is rotated extreme right or left, there is a tak tak tak (bolt tightening) sound. ? I saw another post referencing this sound to the unfortunate Scorpio N incident. Before I let paranoia kick in, would be great to know if someone else has faced it and what possible solutions worked.

Durvient is based at Pune and they do the mod at a cost of 8K/ 8.5K approx. When you place an order, they will procure a mirror from M&M and modify the same to include auto dimming. But the catch is that isntallation plus hardwiring from the fusebox has to be done at the customer end.

If you are confident or know any FNG capable of handling the wiring, then you can go ahead.

Some fellow members in another group (TORC) have done this OTA update successfully. It should take around 20/30 minutes to update and the car should be completely stationary during this period with ignition on.

I hate the fact that they include the brand name text in the front of the mirror in glossy finish like the cheap imprints on key-chain ornaments.

I am thinking of waiting out till XUV 700 gets official AutoDimming IRVM like ScorpioN did. The Broadway mirror seems to be working great and I do not have that itch at the moment.

Some real life pics would be appreciated, if possible.

Also, is this mirror stable enough on potholes/bad roads or will it have some sort of rattling noise or susceptible to coming off entirely? I have heard these kind of issues can occur on these type of products so wasn't sure to buy it or not but the stock rear view mirror in XUV700 is pretty bad.

Don't worry, ASC should be able to replace it under warranty. The reason told to me was the sensors were exposed to dirt and water. No issues in control unit. It doesn't make sense as I assume a weather proof seal on sensor is getting deteriorated very fast. Parking sensor units are always expected to be exposed to heat, dirt and water.

There has been a bunch of customers reporting this issue, including myself.
M&M needs to take care of this proactively. It's affecting 7oo of varying ages.

I have AX7 P AT Jan 2024 model. Received the same notification and I accepted it. Both the screens went blank for a few seconds and then the update started. It took around 25 minutes.
AC was working but turn indicators, rear parking camera weren't working during the update.

The software version before the update: 10.27.62.
After the update: 10.35.22
