Only things which I would have improved on is interior material quality, ambient lighting and rear cross traffic alert in ADAS. Rest all is just perfect!
Thanks for sharing your experience. This helps me narrow down my decision. I will try to take test drive from another dealership to see how the suspension behaves.

I also feel that Mahindra should have updated 2024 XUV700 with rear cross traffic alerts, blind spot monitoring alert shown in ORVMs and door open alerts. Updated Creta, Seltos, Harrier and Safari all come with these 3 features now. These alerts very useful for the roads where I travel and most of 2 wheelers cut through left and right and when I have to get back on busy road from perpendicular parking.
I have experienced these on my test drive on Creta test drive and they proved to be useful as once I had 2 wheelers crisscrossing from both front as well as back

If I go for a drive and carry both keys, I use one key to unlock and drive the car the other key is say in my wife's purse, I stop the car and lock it go for a cup of coffee at a roadside shop and suppose I loose that key, then in that case I will not be able to unlock and start the car with the other key that is in my wife's purse. If that is the case there is no point carrying the other key or am I missing something?

There is a physical key in the fob that can be used in emergency to open the door and then you can activate the fob by keeping it in its placeholder.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Hi all, need advice. We almost finalised the AX7 (Napoli Black) variant when the SA offered to us the MY23 AX7L (midnight black) at the price of the AX7
As per the SA the car doesn’t have ventilated seats as compared to the current year model.

Please suggest if we should consider the MY23 model and what are the things to look out for if we want to opt for the MY23 model.

The other cars under consideration are
1) Kodiaq - we would be stretching our budget for a car that the family didn’t like much in terms of looks

2) Innova Hycross - dad loves it and it would be his 1st choice if it didn’t have a long waiting period.

Ventilated seats are not super effective in XUV700 2024 version. They do work but I don’t miss them even if they are turned off. AC in general is quite effective. Unless you already have a car with ventilated seats and are very much used to it you can consider the 23 model.

Check for rusting, unclean interiors etc issues, other than that nothing major has changed. You can also consider Tucson, that was one of the finalists when we got the XUV back in March.

Will be going for the inspection either today or tomorrow. I Have already submitted the documents to process the loan so Now it’s a question about MY23 or MY24 (getting an Xuv700 for sure )
When asked about the final price, the goal post was shifted a bit as, I was offered 1.6L cash discount for the MY23 vehicle rather than the verbal offer of 2L approx.

How much they are quoting for MY23 and MY24? Now AX7L ex showroom price is 2413998 INR. Still lower than exshowroom price of AX7 pre price cut.

AX7 L diesel AT Ex showroom MY23 - 22.39, MY24 - 23.99
AX7 Diesel AT Ex showroom MY24 - 21.59

So for the extra 80k I would be getting 360 camera and 12 speaker set up.

Detailed price list for your reference. By the way I am pleasantly surprised to learn the registration for 15 years to be much lower than what websites like carwale were showing for my location.

Try negotiating with any other dealers at your place and let them know you're open for 2023 stock, we're 7 months into 2024 so they really need to move the older stock, you can try for higher discounts.

These are the feature differences between AX7 and AX7L as per Mahindra 2024 release-

Ignore the Ventilated seats. Rest all should be present in MY23 as well.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Hello dear BHPians,

So finally the euphoria of buying a used Type 2 Fortuner died and I started checking new vehicles. Neither me nor my family liked 5 seater MUVs or SUVs(?) so we immediately checked Hycross, Crysta and even Hyryder. Liked Hycross but wife was reluctant about using Innova as the main vehicle.

Test drive of Mahindra was next and liked both SCORPIO N and XUV700. Decided not to visit Tata after that.

I personally loved the Big Daddy of the SUVs but couldn't convince the HM for it and settled for XUV700 AX7.

My usage will be 12,000 to 15,000 km a year. City rides will be 20-30 km a day. Major driving will be to Ahmedabad and Mumbai from Surat once a month.

Also a friend suggested going for manual if buying XUV700 and picking automatic for SCORPIO N. I too felt the SN AT to be better optimised than XUV700 AT but the Sales guy, my main mechanic and other friends suggested to go for D AT. Presently I am driving an amazing Honda City.

XUV700 AX7 D AT: On road offer given to me is Rs.23,60,000.

XUV700 AX7 D MT: On road offer given to me is Rs.22,00,695.

So can you guys help me finalising this?

Thank you.

As per the SA, only one unit of MY23 available with them therefore no idea about the asking price of AWD version
