Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

The DEF level indicator in my car has been stationary since 4 months(69-70%)
4litres was topped up at last service of 30k kms but the indicator displayed no change. At first I thought that the service center folks forgot to top up the DEF.
Now the odo stands at 33k but still the level is same. So I guess its the indicators fault
Any insights from the owners?

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

A noob climate control-related question:
The climate control fan never seems to stop in auto mode. It keeps on spinning, and the lowest it goes is speed 3. Sometimes, I felt the car was already at 23° C, yet it felt like the climate control was working hard.
I have noticed this in my car too.
The fan speed always seems higher than required. So i manualy reduce the fan speed most of the times which ultimately makes the climate control useless.
It depends on the temperature inside for auto mode to start and then get inside env to a set temperature. Yes, I do remember seeing fan speed not going down but I never kept it on for a longer time to see same pattern as to what you are seeing...
This video might give u more insights -

Curious to know, what is the source of this information?

I visited Mahindra on 18-19th December, the XUV production was running in full swing. No company can afford to stop the line for 1 month that too for a popular model (& flagship= profits).

Mahindra Sales person had informed me this.
My XUV 700 booking was close to production and I didn't want a Dec 2023 XUV. So, when I asked him, he said that my XUV booking is not billed before 15th Dec. And since Mahindra factory production is closed between 15th December and 15th January, there is no way I would get a Dec 2023 XUV.

As far as I could check on this thread as well, nobody's XUV was billed between 15th Dec and 15th Jan. As a matter of fact, the new 2024 XUV was launched on 15th Jan 2024.

I use this in my car and has been holding pretty good. Works with 3 AAA batteries. Got it for Rs.550/-. Not sure what is the price now.

The dealers also received VIN 2024 - Non refreshed models this week. Next week looks like they are receiving refreshed models.

I was supposed to receive mine in December and the dealership told me that there is no manufacturing happening except for some Diesel variants. Manufacturing has started from 15th Jan which coincides with the date of the update launch. Makes sense that they may have hold up to make space for new ones

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

I have also faced this issue. My vehicle is 20 months old and just last month i faced the same issue. I have a Diesel AWD AX7 model. I too regularly use my vehicle and mu usage is more highway driving than city. The vehicle has covered 28000 Kms in the last 20 months. Parked it one night and 2 days later went down and zip...nothing. The car unlocked but it would not crank even. Felt that battery drained completely. The start screen froze and just a click sound comes when i press the start button..no cranking noise. Vehiclw wouldn't lock or unlock after this and i immediately tried jump starting with neighbours eco sport. First attempt the XUV started. Since then it has been running absolutely fine. No hints of low battery. Got the car to service centre for a cautinary check and they too gave it the clean bill of health.

I saw this issue reported quite a few times by others and so have now invested in a portable jump started which i keep in the car always. So far, haven't needed to use it.

This 'cr'app app (pun intended ) is still not worth 2.5k for a year as I see it. Except to keep an eye on your car if it's in someone's hands...
e-sim sucks and doesn't get proper data signal to take commands from app....
adrenox = obnoxious so far....
