Thanks for pointing that out. That agent in that video got me confused; he was misrepresenting EPB+AVH in non-L AWD variant - he stated that it has arrived only recently and was not available earlier. I do see now that the footnote in brochure does state EPB's availability in AWD - I missed that earlier.

m2all is playing dumb and still not cancelling my order even after delay of 22 days. Every time a new customer care rep is answering, saying they will cancel the order, but in email they asking me to wait for product. Outright scam site !

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Has anyone successfully installed roof carrier/Thule on AX5/AX7 versions? I'm wondering whats the best way to install roof carriers without impacting sunroof.

My SA cautioned me that sunroof might break if I don't get it installed properly. Any reliable vendor to get out done. Can the sunroof function with carrier installed? Thanks

Roof bars and box can be installed on all variants without any issues to the sunroof.. two types of roof bars can be installed, one is the OEM supplied one for which the roof rails needs to be removed first and L adapter is installed. Another option is to go for HI Lo adaptor by Farad which clips on the roof rails. You can check their insta page and get in touch. I plan to get from them as the installation is much faster and it is easily removable when not in use.

I have been in touch with Farad team in Delhi and would eventually end up going for the whole set at around 50k. The same from Thule is more than 1L. It is not an immediate necessity but I do have two huge dogs that travel in the back and space is an issue only then.

There is also a thread here with XUV700 installed with OEM roof bars.

Hi All, Congratulations to everyone who has gotten delivery of their cars.
Has anyone who has booked their car in December or after(A diesel variant) got their car delivered or has it at-least gone into production?

One of my friend has installed Carrier with box from Farad on his Jeep compass which doesnt impacts on sunroof usability. He bought from Amazon and same vendor installed on his car. You can check them too as the quality is quite good.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Thank you very much for a detailed answer. Is removing these Farad boxes easy?

Also can we install steel carriers? Just trying to understand as steel carriers will be slim and take less space in my home balcony once I've removed them.

Or boxes are the best solution?

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Hello All,

Has some one found a solution to the irritating issue of boot light being not available. Searched various forums but couldn't find anything appealing. I am not sure how much money Mahindra saved by not providing a boot light.

I have 2 of these installed in the boot, it's actually much brighter than expected.

Thanks to someone who shared the link here earlier.

I agree it's quite easy to remove and store vs the OEM one.. not a fan of open top carriers simply for aesthetics but I believe those can also be fit once roof bars are installed. I have seen many such fitments on XUV500.

Attaching some pictures of OEM & Farad adaptor for XUV700 roof rails. Wonder why proper roof rails are not given on SUVs these days. Hopefully it has nothing to do with legality of installing carriers..

Get it together Mahindra !
We can pull some strings and get the car earlier but I'd rather wait for most of the niggles to get sorted out. Will take a call in the next couple of months.

You are in a sweet spot. If you want car early, you know your way in Mahindra, if you want the niggles to be sorted, your can wait it out. So nothing to lose either ways IMHO
