Re: Hyundai Alcazar Review

Greetings, wishing everyone blessed Dhanteras and happy Deepawali in advance

4 days ago, our vehicle had developed an issue where it was showing low pressure for 2 days while there had been no puncture or any reason for the warning to pop up. When it was taken to a nearby 3rd party service center due to close proximity, the car did not start and warning displayed "battery needs to be replaced" or something similar (as reported by driver). It's currently in Hyundai's service centre and they're suggesting that diagnostics is taking time and battery is being charged, no fault in hardware under bonnet has been found so far.

What could be the reason behind this malfunction?

How has your car started in the lead up? First signs of battery drain is your car won't start on the first crank.

I own a 25 month Prestige, am still on stock battery and starts on first crank. So battery drain on a 2023 Alcazar is a bit surprising.

For TPMS warnings, what are the readings? Also what is your variant?

Variant is Signature Petrol DCT 6 seater, 2023 make

It started without any issues and travelled for ~25 kms with no issues on that day, except for low tyre pressure warning. Only after reaching the 3rd party service center did the car not start

Regarding TMPS readings, only 1 tyre had reached 21 (unit unknown to driver) while the rest were fine

The service center has suggested that the battery is faulty and might need to be replaced. It's baffling, for the car has travelled only 11,000 kms in 16 months and last servicing was done in June this year

Re: Hyundai Alcazar Review

Update on the car:

The car was handed over on 1st November with replaced battery that was under warranty. Neither tyres nor TPMS had any faults, fortunately. The service center could not ascertain the issue with battery but has assured that new battery won't cause any issues (skeptical yet fingers crossed). No other issues were observed in hardware or software, no reset to telematics gave slight respite and they topped some fluids

Re: Hyundai Alcazar 2023 (old with 1.5L Turbo Petrol DCT)

Hi,

Does anyone know about Hyundai Alcazar 2023 model (old model with 1.5L Turbo DCT Signature - Adventure series) will get wireless Android Auto feature?

Some random posts said the Prestige model has wireless Android Auto but not the Platinum or the Signature. I think the wireless android auto is supported on the new Facelift Alcazar but I am not referring to the facelift but the model just before Facelift. To be clear, this is not the 2.0L engine but the next revision they did before facelift with a 1.5L Turbo engine Petrol)

Some random threads talked about getting wireless Android Auto in 2025 for both old and new variants of Alcazar but it wasn't clear if it is updated at the service centre or will it be a wireless OTA update bringing this feature.

Anyone who has insider information about this or anyone has got it may please share.

Thank you!

Hey

The prestige gets the 8 inch model while the higher versions had the 10.25 inch head unit. All the 8 inch units in Hyundai and Kia get the wireless android auto while the 10.25 ones only had the wired ones due a patent issue.

There were recent reports that this issue was sorted internationally but i dont think the wireless android auto wont trickle down to the 10.25 inch head units.

Instead get a AA Wireless Dongle for around 6k and enjoy your today rather than depending on the manufacturer.

Re: Hyundai Alcazar Review

I have finalized a 2022 Alcazar Prestige model (Diesel - Manual). I need expert suggestions from Alcazar owners on whether it's a good idea and whether there is anything I need to consider before I make the purchase.

The version I am going for doesn't need AdBlue, though it's a BS6 version.

We own Alcazar Diesel Signature bought in Aug 2021. It has covered 1,24,XXX kms. Now I get the Engine Oil replaced at FNG. The Oil I use is Mak Supreme Synth SP C5 BS6 Compliant Multifuel.

Please remember the car has less space for third row compartment.

Re: Hyundai Alcazar Review

Hi

Over the last 1-2 months, I have observed a weird problem with my Alcazar 1.5D AT. At 55-60 kmph, the whole car starts jerking/shaking quite strongly. This doesn’t happen every time, but it has now happened quite often. Initially, I dismissed it as a one-off.

The issue isn’t resolved when I change gears using shifters or speed up or slow down. The shaking stops when I take my foot off the accelerator, and the car slows to ~30 kmph. When I speed up again, sometimes it reoccurs, while at other times, it doesn’t. I suspected this might be a wheel/tire issue. I have gotten my tires rotated and balanced, but the issue persists.

Is anyone else facing a similar issue with Creta/Alcazar diesel AT? I am planning to visit the SC soon.

PS. I moved to Shell about a month ago. Could that be an issue?

As far as I know, the OEM hardware isn’t compatible, so an OTA update isn’t an option.

That said, I use AA Wireless with a third-party dongle, and it works seamlessly. It’s especially convenient on long drives—when stepping out to take a quick snap, the connection stays intact. The only downside is that it drains the battery faster than the wireless charger can keep up with, so I occasionally plug it in just for charging.

Re: Hyundai Alcazar Review

Dear Alcazar Owners,

One of my Very close friend owns a 7-Seater Alcazar with Sun roof purchased during Jan 2025. Owing to accommodate his large family + their luggage, he is currently looking for a 'Cost-Effective' roof rack [luggage carrier].
Can someone please share which one can I suggest to him, in Bangalore? I looked out for a few online ones and I was not very impressed by most of them. So thought will ask here, so that I can get first hand info from our esteemed Bhpians.
Since there is a impending trip coming up for him early next week, requesting suggestions soon.

This is the one I use : https://www.amazon.in/MSXTTLY-Wirele.../dp/B0DLKLNQ7N

Once configured, it connects instantly. For shorter trips there is no issues at all. The only issue I faced was during a long drive of around 8 hours continuously, where it got heated up and disconnected frequently, but such occasions are rare.

Overall - would rate it 9/10 as it fits in all use cases.

Re: Hyundai Alcazar Review

Hello People,

I recently bought the new Alcazar 1.5 turbo sometime in February. The car has done around 2800km's. I hear a strange clatter every time I start the car in the morning. This is also observed whenever I rev the engine close to 2000rpm.
Anyone in the forum facing similar issue?

Is this the petrol or diesel?

On my diesel, I've always had a clatter on a cold start. This has been from early days till now (2.5 years later)
