I got my car delivered on 10th-Oct-24, but as per App and iDrive my next service is due on 31-Jul-25 or 12000 Kms, whichever comes first. My service has been moved ahead by 2+ months.

I enquired regarding the same from my dealership also, and this is the reply I got via email-

"Currently, the system indicates that the next service is due in July 2025. This date is calculated based on the vehicle’s production month and year.
It could be a case where invoicing of the car was already done by BMW in Jul'24. If your invoice date is Oct'24 then they should have reset the next service date to Oct 25. You should insist on this else the iDrive will start showing service due from Jul'25. Hope your warranty starts only from Oct'24.

Has anyone installed window shades on their 330Li from aftermarket sources? Looking for more insights and suggestions on getting them for my car.

TIA
It was available till last week atleast, for 330 LCI. Product is very pedestrian, nothing premium about it.

Yup checked that, warranty and BMW advance secure starts from my invoice date only. Infact these BND (Billed but Not Delivered) cars are actually 1 to 1.5 Lakhs cheaper, but you loose out on a couple of months of company warranty.

My hunch is that the dealer cut short the PDI, may be all together only. BMW India is deliberately on this with the dealer, final conclusion is still awaited. Though the dealer is persuading me to close the matter with BMW India, and offering me free car wash 😑😑

Did you take the BSI+ package or planning to pay-as-you-go for services?

If BSI+, then BMW will probably change it gratis, but they keep fiddling with the acceptable 'range'. Best to check with them ASAP.

If pay-as-you-go, then I would suggest changing them now itself. The brake wear indicator is not very reliable and may drop suddenly from 1500 km to some small figure without warning. As you will be on the highway, avoid taking the chance in my opinion. Having said that do also remember to bed in the new brakes (if changed) before your long drive!

Interesting! Do you have a separate 48v Li-on battery in the engine compartment?

I believe the answer is that the 330i (SWB) got it earlier, but of course it was discontinued in India. The 330Li will probably get it soon I guess, maybe with the 2025 LCI 2.

Very true! Please do not let them take you for a ride on this matter. Get the resolution from the dealer or BMW on email.

If you are using eco pro mode, switch to eco pro individual and customie ac to comfort. Then it wont skimp on the AC.

Nope, only 12v battery. Google says BMW 330Li 2025 model has it.

Locally made Chinese 3 Series should mean the G28 Li & Ld I’m guessing.

Intriguing that one so rarely hears of such mass recalls in India. If I remember correctly, the last major one was for the F30 EGR issue.

Re: BMW 3-Series Gran Limousine Review (Long Wheelbase)

There is something called Coasting in Eco mode, not sure how does the car gets into that mode.

MSports Pro is anyday much more value for money compared to MSports due to 360 degree camera and blind spot detection alerts.

As far as I know, the engine takes a nap when you let off the throttle and the car is rolling. Tap the accelerator again and the engine comes back alive, although you don't feel this at all while driving making the feature impressive imo. BMW says this helps to reduce emissions and increase fuel efficiency. The My BMW app also shows the % amount of time for which you were coasting on your last trip only if you were using the Eco Pro mode.

Yes, the Pro is definitely value for money. I found the blind spot detection feature extremely useful, more so than the 360 camera.
