All current models are coming with PS4 Run flat.
That's a great setup to be frankly without being too 'fat'.

BMW India had badly erred initially by equipping the first few G28 lots with 225/50/17 Bridgestone Turanza T001 RFTs. This size, relative inferiority of the tyre compared to the PS4s and the LWB made many reviewers criticise it. However, they quickly took the feedback and upsized to 18" PS4 RFT staggered.

My SWB Sport runs the same 17" setup, and I'd love to fatten the tyres without moving to 18". However, the 17" rim size is only 7.5J which makes it unsuitable beyond 225s.

Of course, high quality aftermarket alloys may be the answer!

Actually tyre size, read 225/17, was one of the main reasons for me to reject a pre-owned pre LCI model and go for a new one.

Updating alloys would be an easy fix, other than the money part. You can get better quality BBS, OZ racing alloys which looks and perform better too.

Re: BMW 3-Series Gran Limousine Review (Long Wheelbase)

I got my car yesterday back from Infinity Turbhe and to my surprise the entire roof liner had hand prints. All four pillars had grease smudges. It was so awful to see my car in this state. Also given that it had a beige headliner this was so evident. I am positive the same would be for the black headliner too, the only difference would be that it would not be visible to the naked eye. I refused to take the vehicle and spoke with Richard, who is the AGM for the workshop. I was told the car was washed in the evening the day prior, so this was not noticed. I found the excuse to be even more hilarious. So all of you, that need and sunroof rattle check or lubrication and giving it to infinity Turbhe, watch out. Have anyone on this group faced this situation?

What did you do to your Bimmer today?

Fixed mudflaps to prevent Grey Hulk's Michelin shoes from dirtying his body during rains.

Since I generally do the car cleaning myself, cleaning the muck in that area was the irritating part and it can even leave chip marks over a period of time.

I didn't find any source in India so I took a chance and ordered it from Ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/405353993674 and received it in 3 weeks. Had to pay customs duty of Rs.682/- but it was worth it because the fitting is just perfect with the right openings for screws. It also has water outlets built in. I would recommend this 100% for those who want to buy.

Each mudflap has 3 screw slots and in the front, 2 of them are riveted which had to be cut out (with a chisel) and removed and the ebay screws were fixed. All other screws were the stock 10 mm screws. If you have the right tools, it's a DIY install.

Re: BMW 3-Series Gran Limousine Review (Long Wheelbase)

Happy to share that I have booked 330Li M Sports Pro a couple of days back.

I was open to swapping my 8.5 years old 320d GT (F34) if I got a good deal (December discounts), (just an itch to upgrade; else the family was happy to continue with the GT which still drives like a dream). I was fortunate to get a really good deal and the deal was finalised on the second day of checking out the car (since the figure I had in my mind was matched).

I am yet to finalise a colour for the same and am confused between Carbon black and Skyscraper Grey. Carbon black looked good (saw it on M Sports, not Pro) but the fact that the 3GL will be a replacement for our 3GT, and that the 3GT was sparkling brown (black colour which appears to be deep brown under sunlight), a 3GL Carbon black (black colour which appears to be deep blue under sunlight) did not give the feeling of a change.

Looking at the images, I was completely sold on the Skyscraper Grey initially and it was the colour of my choice. However, looking at the car in person (again M Sports variant, not the Pro variant) did not invoke the same feeling. The car was indoors and, probably why, appeared in a deeper shade of grey to the pictures in the press release (perhaps it appears much lighter, somewhat like Brooklyn Grey, under Sunlight).

Checking out the configurator, the family has voted for the Carbon black colour. I did not find many ownership reviews of cars in Carbon Black. Has anyone come across this colour (on MSports Pro)? If anyone can provide any input on it, it would help bring some clarity to me on the choice of colour. Thanks!

First of all congratulations on such a great car.

I was confused between Mineral White and Carbon Black when I bought it in Sept. Considering my last 3 cars (including my beater i20) is in white, Carbon black was my first choice and booked one in black. But some how I did not like the way car looked more of a shade of blue under direct sunlight. I found the 340i black to be better.

Also since mine is MSport Pro, I felt the contrast of black grill was better in White and went ahead with Mineral White. Still if that black was same as M340i, I would have gone with black as it gives complete blackened out looks.

During delivery I saw both black and white next to each other and totally happy with my decision. But then since colours are personal preference, some might find white totally boring.

Also the colours looks differently with MSport Pro treatment vs MSport. Say in MSport, I like black since it has chrome grill.

Skyscrape grey looks great too in MSport Pro. @Kelly66 has this colour.

Congratulations!

Skyscraper Grey in non-Sport is not appealing. It looks great in M Sport Pro with the black contrast. You can see my review in this thread.

I did not like Carbon Black because is does not show the contrast. However, if you like the full black look you can go ahead.
