Agree on this. I also saw 14.xx kmpl in the MID but it turned out to be 11.8x, for two consecutive tank fills.

Is Tata Safari Gold Edition on cards? |
Much awaited Ventilated seats will be offered on Safari Gold Edition. The leather upholstery looks different from regular model.
Safari Gold Edition will be revealed at VIVO IPL 2021.

This mismatch is present in almost each and every car. I own a Swift and the actual mileage figure is almost always 2 KMPL less than the MID reading.

The gold accents don't look good to me . The marble finish is still acceptable.

The Adventure Persona version is available @21.80 lakh rs.
That means for a measly difference of 9k , one will get ventilated seats, air purifier, wireless android auto / Apple car play .
I think the first generation owners will feel hard done ( as always).
At least, they should provide the latest version of Apple car play/ android auto, to the existing owners.
Also , query to all Safari owners- Has anyone received the second automatic key set .
Though I find the gold accents on the exterior and interior to be hideous in these images, the additional features did impress me. The addition of ventilated seats in
both the rows is a really nice touch. These features should have come with the Adventure Persona maybe at a slight premium when the car was launched itself. I miss these features on my Adventure Persona that would have really enhanced the whole experience.
Attaching the brochure of the gold edition-

Safari Adventure Persona (6S) Manual is priced at Rs 20,58,900 and Gold Edition (6S)is priced at Rs 21,89,900, you get above mentioned features for a price difference of Rs 1,31,000
If you consider AT variants Adventure Persona (6S) is priced at Rs 21,86,900 and Gold Edition (6S) is priced at Rs 23,17,900.

Today I did my virtual PDI with the sales person in the yard on WhatsApp call and myself in my hometown. He also sent me a video and pics of my car. Decoding the VIN, I could make sure that it was an August manufactured Safari. The tyres were from the 33rd week which indicated it was also manufactured in the second week of August. So, I am quite happy that I am getting a new one as conveyed earlier. From the video, it seemed it had 2 keys and both seemed to be the usual key fobs.
While there was some initial struggle, post my escalation to Tata my experience has been quite good. Awaiting to get my hand on the car by the end of this month.

I wish they had these at launch esp the ventilated seats. That hurt.

I got both keys at delivery itself though the SA had told me I would only get one. Mine is June manufacture.
With the advent of excellently 'specced' and well priced XUV700, they need to bring more value in right now. BTW I'm not liking this 'Gold', and the marble finish is not to my taste

Guys, just noticed in a discussion in the SAFARI GOLD variant thread that the current XZ variants get wireless charging and wireless Android auto and carplay. Ahh!! It hurts as my car is at the dealers yard and will be missing these key feature updates. The best part is it comes for the same price.
Not sure if the wireless Android auto will be provided to existing owners through a software update. Going to drop a note to Tata motors asking for the same.

Hi,
I am all set to go in for SAFARI XZA . Did the test drives . finalised the color.
Mentally prepared and convinced myself to handle niggles and famed service support of TATA's. Financially prepared to stretch from Tata Harrier to TATA Safari Infact the stretch is quiet a big from Hyundai Creta to TATA Safari.
Heart says go for it , Mind says ..wait for some more time and see the XUV 700 launch and then take a call .
Need help...Is it worth waiting for XUV 700 ? |
Hi all,
Listened to heart. Went for Safari. Got home Blue XZA driven around 1000 kms. Excellent drive, niggle free experience so far. The booking experience with Wasan Motors, Borivali was superb and so was the delivery experience. The car was delivered within 4 weeks of booking.
I am happy with my decision of not waiting for XUV700. Nothing against XUV700, but the wait would have been longer.
The only thing I miss in my safari is a 360 degree camera. Though not a very big show stopper, it would have been nice if available.
Hopefully the good experience with Safari continues.
Mod Note : Please avoid typing with excessive dots.........like................this.
Thanks
