I am using 3M noodle mats in my Harrier and it is functionally very good , absorbs water and dust especially well. Very good for monsoons and dusty surroundings

Re: 2021 Tata Safari Review

This video seems to be amongst the more level headed and candid feedback on the Safari.

We bought 7D mats for our harrier and it was amazing. Costed just about 7.5k here at a known dealer.

Nice. And whats interesting is that all of the 10 were the top end versions which is good to see.

Re: 2021 Tata Safari Review

Tata Motors has launched an in-house Ceramic Coating service for the new Safari. It will be done at Motors authorized dealerships and will cost 28,500/- (Inc GST)

Re: 2021 Tata Safari Review

I went to the Tata dealer today to testdrive Nexon diesel and Altroz diesel for a friend. Checked out the 2021 Safari that was on the showroom floor. As a OG Safari and Storme owner, my views from the 2 minutes time I spent in the rear captain seat:
2021 Tata Safari Review-img_20210331_161732377.jpg
1. The car looks big from the outside

2. The captain seats are small. I mean, the bolstering makes it a tight space to be in.

3. The white interiors have already been soiled.

4. The sense of space and airiness of the old generation safaris/stormes is missing

5. The second row feels cramped with the raised seat height and hence much reduced head room

I might just incline towards an Innova crysta over the new safari if I was in the market for a 6 seater people mover today.

Surprising facts :

1. I have purchased 7 new Tata cars in the last 13 years. Not once have I seen a Tata dealer filled with customers like today.

2. Last year's 60 cars a month sales has gone up to 250 cars a month now.

3. There were 14 new car deliveries today!! Of which 2 were 2021 Safaris, both metallic blues.

4. Harrier has just been overshadowed by the safari. No showroom display space nor deliveries today. I guess Tata has done injustice to the harrier by focussing much on the 2021 Safari.

5. Test drives were available for all cars, all engine variants. Want Altroz 1.2 N/A or 1.2 iTurbo or 1.5 turbo diesel? Everything was available

6. Tata sales people work with extra vigor now. He took pain to show us various variants of Nexon around the service floor and yard just so that we get a good idea about features distribution

7. Not one customer was left unattended

8. Service bays were full! Surprising to find 3 lovely Hexas too.

Only 1 Adventure variant in that lovely shade in a sea of whites and blues. It will be interesting to see how many takers it gets. Will it eventually settle on the same ratio as here, 9:1?

Re: 2021 Tata Safari Review

Took delivery of my Tata Safari yesterday.

https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/attac...1&d=1617339313

Exactly 5 weeks for delivery from the date of booking.
The delivery experience with Adishakti motors - Hebbal, Bangalore has been fantastic. I was kept well informed of the status by my SA. I also visited their yard twice, once to check out the Adv Persona variant as I wanted to see it in person before confirming the booking, second to do the PDI.
Did check about the extended warranty, planning to take it when I go for my first service.
My SA had readily agreed for me to get the insurance done outside. Ended up saving a good 32k in the insurance amount.
The SA did not have much details about the Gold AMC, he told me that he'll get me in touch with the Service folks, I'm still not convinced about the AMC, so will take a call about that also during the first service.

A pleasant delivery experience and hoping the ownership experience is also as pleasant.

Happy days, I just booked mine yesterday. The showroom finally agreed to let us take insurance ourselves after a full month of them trying to match offers, managed to save a cool 80k. The wait begins!

Thanks for sharing. Any idea from our esteemed BHPians if this is worth it? I have my booking with a Gurgaon dealership and still 2-3 weeks of waiting time left. But just wanted to check so that I can make up my mind if this is something that I should spend my hard earned money or not

My advice would be to get it done from outside shops specializing in car detailing based on online reviews in your city. Those guys have lots of experience with these. Car detailing is not a simple process. It requires expertise. I am not sure how much TATA dealerships excel at it. You might also want to check out TeamBHP threads on PPF and Ceramic coating to get an idea.

The reserve is around 7 litre

Re: 2021 Tata Safari Review

In my opinion for the ceramic coating i would still prefer to go with the already established experts in the business rather than trusting the showroom guys with my hard earned money and also keeping in mind also the workmanship quality and longevity of the coating.

I'm just being skeptical, but we will only know the quality of the job done by showroom if any BHPian shares their experience.
