At times I feel that the PR @TaMo has a bit of split personality, from witty puns on competition to lousy product promos, something’s amiss.

That said, safari does hit the chord, I waited for good 18 months for this car to come out. By the time I did, I had moved on with the Thar. Looking at the renewed enthusiasm in this thread, it appears like TaMo has another feather in the cap.
The Adventure Edition , ad is filled with nostalgia and recall moments and therefore pulls those heartstrings.

The regular weekday ad is a bit confusing. Theres that same genre of melancholic music with the same old dog barking from the old ad. But what's the storyline of the new ad? Is it a love lost tale or quit your mundane job? Don't quite get that .

I pre-booked in Jan itself with Rudra motors, Wagholi. As per the SA, the first batch has been put on order which will cover the pre-bookings but he is not sure when they will arrive. Any bookings after 22nd Feb are indeed to be delivered in 1 month approx.

Please do update us. I'm assuming deliveries in Pune should start few days earlier as its closest to manufacturing.

I know, but anyone else curious about the stunning locations? Any hunches especially on the last bit by the river with that mountain backdrop? (Hoping it's not all CGI)

Re: 2021 Tata Safari Review

I am planning to wait out for a few months before jumping on to the Safari Bandwagon.

Mahindra released THAR in October last year and look what TBhp released today https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/techn...solutions.html (2nd-gen Mahindra Thar | Niggles, Problems & Solutions)

I hope and pray with the learnings and improvements in the Harrier already maybe we can expect some improvements in Q&C ? I dont know only time will tell.

Waiting for members to share their real experience once deliveries start.

That's almost in front of 32nd Toyota dealership on Mathura Road, Faridabad. There's Porsche service center & warehouse in this location too.

Actually Multitech Auto (Tata Dealership) is on other side of road & driving these huge trucks on other side doesn't make much sense (space wise), as the service road will be blocked due to these trucks.

There is an actual scuff plate which says Land Rover Pedigree. I'm sure that will find a lot of takers

Re: 2021 Tata Safari Review

Hello all. Wanted to ask a couple of questions -

I've never driven a vehicle with a push-button Handbrake.

What happens if you accidentally press the handbrake button by mistake while the car is in motion? Does it refuse to engage or will the wheels lock?

Another thing - How is the Auto hold function in the Safari XZA different from the Hill hold function that was present in my previous Hexa XTA?

In the Hexa, when I left the brakes on an uphill incline, the hill-hold feature used to halt the car for a second or so giving me enough time to comfortably switch my feet to the accelerator pedal -a mighty useful feature.

Is the Auto hold feature any different? Does the button have to be engaged to perform the same task that was there previously in the Hexa?

Hi, Auto-Hold is different from Hill Hold. The hill hold function is active on inclines where it holds the car for a few seconds to allow the driver to get into gear and drive off (This prevents roll back). Auto hold is a function that applies pressure on the Brakes to keep the car stopped once the system is active and the foot is released from the brake when the car comes to a stop. A tap of the accelerator allows the driver to drive off again. This feature is useful in signals and stop start traffic. (To activate Auto hold a dedicated button has to pressed every time you turn on the car)
