I have the same problem with my X3 headlights. Visibility is great when its dark but very iffy with ambient or oncoming lights. I had asked the service advisor about it but he had no answer.

500 Km down in 2 months. Today I learned about turbos after experiencing the surge in acceleration at different RPMs. I've observed that this car goes into this maniac phase after a certain RPM.

I was flooring the car the other day and observed that there is no linear acceleration as such. If it takes 2 seconds to go from 30 to 60 KPH it does not mean that it would take 2 more seconds to go from 60 to 90 KPH. I was unaware of this and almost crashed into the oncoming traffic at a hill station because, after a certain RPM, it behaves quite unpredictably. This Turbo magic is not instinctual and can get you into trouble if you are not aware of how this car behaves at different speeds.

Later I looked it up and went into the Youtube rabbit hole and understood how turbos work, specifically twin turbos in this case.

One more hack that I love is just a couple of sprays of the Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille perfume on the dash instead of the generic perfumes that BMW gives. The new car leather smell + this perfume is truly magical.

True, the B48 engine really bursts into action once the turbo spools up .

One correction though, the B48 does not have twin turbos, instead it's a single turbo with twin scrolls. Refer here: https://bmwtuning.co/bmw-twinpower-turbo/

Re: Review: BMW 330i (G20)

Hi.I have a few queries.
1.Has anyone tried a stage 1 remap? I am planning to get one from wolf moto. Feedbacks will be of great help.
2.Full car wrap from white to glossy blue. Will it affect the original paint?
3. Aftermarket LCI front and rear conversion for G20 is available . Only problem is headlights have to be changed. Will it affect the warranty?

How do I fix this creaking sound? Every aluminum trim creaks especially the ones on the steering wheel while I'm making a turn. It's very annoying.

The car is one month old with 500 Kms on it.

The brakes as well. They make a creaking sound when I press on them.

A quick Google search seems that the brake issue is brake boosters vaccum leaking air! I have no idea why it leaks and it definitely cant be for wear and tear as the car is almost brand new. The service center is 180 KMS away and I don't want to drive all the way there. Is there any hack to fix this? Can I stick tape somewhere and ignore this problem until I get time to drive to the dealership?

Haven’t noticed this about the trim pieces, seems pretty well put together usually. But the brakes, I’ve noticed that sound only when pressing on it before starting the car for the first time during a given day. Others can mention if their experiences have been any different.

Re: Review: BMW 330i (G20)

Quick question, has anyone installed dashcams on their G20? I'm looking for something that will not void the warranty and is easy to install without making it look ugly.

Re: Review: BMW 330i (G20)

Just get any DDPAI or 70MAI unit. I have the former and it's very discreet tucked away near the IRVM. I've not hardwired it yet but plan to do so.

Re: Review: BMW 330i (G20)

Hi, It seems there has been a substantial hike by BMW for their BRI package once again.
following quote received by Bird in Gurgaon.
3rd year - 78234/-
4th year - 154934/-
5th year - 308334/-
and of course no option of the 6th year warranty anyways.
Had received an offer of 5th year warranty for 174994/- last week of December itself and now again this hike! part of me just thinks i should just wing it and let this be.

Re: Review: BMW 330i (G20)

Some latest additions
1) ambient lighting :- really surprised by the seamless look! I didn’t go for the footwell lighting but for the simple 5 piece on the door trims and the front passenger side trim.
2) Alcantara wrap on the steering wheel :- I can’t tell you how amazed I am by the work done by Upshift Autos (no affiliation). It involved taking off the steering wheel for the precise fitting. Highly satisfied.

Nice! Which brand of lights are these and how much please? Did it involve taking off the panels/inserts?

Hey yes need to take off the trims and the panels for the precise fitting. Needed to drop my car off overnight for both the steering and the lighting.
Brand is CARDI. Cost of lighting only with installation around 12k.

Is the 3-Series discontinued? Official BMW site removed 3-Series.

I have the same query. It seems after removing the 6th year BRI, the price of the 5th year is now the price of the earlier 6th year extension, and the. 4th year extension now costs as much as the earlier 5th year extension. Quite substantial.
What’s the opinion of fellow owners here? Does 5th year makes sense over the 4th year extension for a 1.6 lacs premium?
