Cognac, yes. The interiors look beautiful with the exterior colour. I was in touch with this dealer for a while. We spoke about X1 first and later 330i M Sport. But my mind was fixated on the sport variant. 3 months later he called me on his own owing to a decently good relation I was able to maintain with the SA

Congratulations Ashish! Personally, I'm inclined towards the Portimao Blue, but seeing your Mineral Grey does make me think again.

All the best!

How does your sport have the option of Cognac seats? Sport was earlier just sensatec beige and sensatec black.

Secondly how does your Sport have adjustable under thigh as well.

The seats are like the M sport seats in your car.

Cognac was a surprise to me as well hence I posed the same question. The thigh support extension was not present even in the regular 3 Luxury Line in 2019, but later BMW gave them in all the variants of 3/3 GL.

They introduced cognac in 2022 only.

Makes me very happy to read this

Spec sheet not updated either! When you get the time, will you scan through the specs to see what else BMW have silently added to the Sport?

Re: Review: BMW 330i (G20)

Update- yesterday a driver restraint warning came up on the screen, will be sending the car tomorrow for diagnostics.

Fingers crossed for an easy fix.

Congratulations and you are only lucky dude. I just checked again with the SA I am in touch with at Bangalore after reading this post. He gave me the same sob story he has been giving for the past 4+ months, Sport is not in production! Back in April Navnit motor folks told me that there was a chance for one off batch of Sport model being dispatched to dealers across the country. However they were not confident of getting more than 1 unit and they already had 3 people in the waiting list for Sport. I was number 4. Duetche Motoron weren't even willing to take a booking for Sport, said they haven't gotten any such news!

Re: Review: BMW 330i (G20)

Given that BMW is releasing the face-lift of the current 3 early next year and the recession is around the corner with supply chain issues being fixed very soon do you guys think there would be the huge 10L discount on the 3 series this festive season?

The seats look like they are perforated, like the ones you get on the 530i MSport. It should be another improvement in comfort with the better breathability.
Enjoy the car.

Such discounts are only possible in case of the Audi A4, in the coming months, maybe..we all know why!

BMW 3 series sells well without any or marginal 2-4L OTR discounts across India. Also, these luxury brands have mastered the process of "Just In Time" thanks to the Semi Conductor Shortage and CKD Kits supply issues from Germany.
Hence, all these brands have a stagnant demand but a comparatively low supply (intentionally), in order to keep the customers in waiting and meanwhile continuosly increase the price and offer no discounts at all.

BMW regularly sells almost 800 cars in a month right now. By offering huge discounts, they will achieve maybe 1000 or 1100 units. They have decent volumes therefore, they will tend to focus more on profits. In short, the luxury car makers will only offer discounts now when they badly need high volumes (e.g. Audi with the A4 and Q2, last year).

Sounds crazy, but sadly this is the fact now.

Damn! Il wait around till festive season to see if there are any discounts. BMW with its cheap scratchy plastics everywhere does not feel like a 50L car. I know taxes are to blame here but it is what it is.

Interesting. Does the 3 series or 5 series have cheap, scratchy plastics? (the X1, yes to a degree) Both the cars have soft plastics even lower on the dash, and doors - typically where we find hard plastics in most cars. The design of Merc. C class may be wow(!), but the Bimmers still boast of good quality interiors I’ve observed.

The prices are atrocious, of course, but that’s a different discussion.

Best of luck for your impending purchase

Yes, it's the cheapest, disgusting plastic I have seen. The dash on my father's Tuscon looks way more premium than the 3 series with black interiors. I have heard some people say the cognac colored is a bit better in terms of look and feel. On the other hand the C220D which is priced at 56L has the best interior. Faux leather and great plastics everywhere. But it has no under-thigh support in the back and the diesel engine is quite clunky and uninspiring to drive.
