I have been using these mats since the last 8-9 months, and I haven't had any reason to complain. Go for it.
I use the same for last 2 yrs and they work great, still occasionally sand / mud find its way to the floor... Akshay from Car Shringar also provides good deals in Bangalore +91 97404 84848.

Re: 2020 Hyundai Tucson Facelift Review : 2.0L Diesel with 8-speed AT

Hi Folks,

I've recently bought a used Tucson 4WD variant (2017) with close to 64,000 Km.
Not taken it out on the highway yet as a few niggles to be addressed in the garage which I'll get to later.
Initial impressions:
This is my second automatic (earlier was also a Hyundai - i20) and seems to be smooth. The shifts are noticeable when in sports mode but most of the commute is in Eco to keep things in check. The semi-auto shifts are a nice option in the shifter but the vehicle only upshifts after 2K in the RPM range vs. my previous manual Yeti.
The seating and cockpit feel familiar having come from i20 years ago but more modern touches are nice.
Being a used vehicle, the drive train and suspension do seem quite sorted but maybe more will be noticed when I take a longer drive over the weekends. The steering is quite light compared to the Yeti but neither is seen as a negative. Maybe might change my opinion once a longer highway and ghat stint is done.
No real plans to take this off the tarmac for now (my Yeti is a 4x4 and has gone off the tarmac, into the trails quite a bit) but may look at some hard-packed light trails in the months ahead.
What's not great (at least till they are sorted) is the braking. The bite is quite spongy though I have discs on all 4 corners. Perhaps a cleaning or changing of the pads might help get a more consistent bite.
I have a squealing noise from the engine bay after being on the road for more than 5 minutes. Likely an idler pulley will need to be sorted as it did have a belt service back in 2020 and the belt tension looks good.
Hyundai did have a recall for some variants of the Tucson and other models but after talking to their reps, and sharing the VIN, does not seem to apply to the Indian models. If anyone else has had a recall addressed, will be nice to hear about it.
This like many current Hyundai models has an annoying locking and unlocking honk from a secondary horn. Sadly, the option in the menu to disable that is locked out and at my local garage, the OBD II tool did not get to access that. It did lead to just unplugging that honker and using some electrical tape to protect the plug should it be required in the future.
There seems to be little to no aftermarket option to install a 360 parking camera and this vehicle needs it. The front and sides have quite a bit of “bulge” and not easy to get close to the curb stones without the risk of scraping something. If anyone has suggestions, will be great to hear them - maybe connect the cameras to the existing head unit or have to install a separate display for that.
When I removed the engine cover, there is an overflow pipe (if that's the function) and one tab is held in place with a zip tie of all things. There is no leakage but needs addressing still. Typical of what the local jugaad garage culture looks like.
One option that this model year and variant does not have is a sunroof. That’s something many pointed out and personally, glad it's one less thing to have to worry about. Don't miss having one and don't really see that as a must-have at any price point.
The previous owner has upsized the tires from 225 to 235s. Not sure if that impacts the ride quality as such but if it adds to the ground clearance, nice to have that given local road conditions.

For now, no plans for mods or changes to the Tucson. Just some needed TLC and see what else comes up given the mileage. The previous service history from Hyundai was clear and up to date till Feb 23’ and aside from constant bodywork (likely a driver-driven vehicle), no real flags and all looks to be done as per the service intervals.
From existing and former owners of the Tucson, any areas I’d need to look up and keep an eye out for?

Has anyone tried installing 360 parking camera in tucson? I am also looking for this setup. Is it possible to feed this to the existing AVN screen?

As of now, this seems like an option

https://amzn.eu/d/1fDKh8E

I wouldn't mind a separate screen that's not too big, mounted on the center dash. If the rearview camera is a bit better than the OEM one from Hyundai, may swap that out.
It is not elegant but would love to hear from others for ideas.

Greetings,
I stumbled upon a 360-degree kit in a taxi that caught my attention. The driver recommended www.powerdrive-india.com. Unfortunately, I have not had the opportunity to follow up on this suggestion:(

Ran thru some of their Insta posts and found this from a Santa Fe

Not sure if there was one for a Tucson but could be worth a look.

If they have tied up with folks to install these kits outside of Mumbai, will be interesting. One thing though, I'd look to install this kit while the vehicle is in a garage where there is a scanner to reset any error codes that may crop up when the panels and removed and bits unplugged.
This did happen when I installed a kit on my Skoda Yeti couple of years back.

How much did you pay for the car? Just want to understand the current market value

My Tucson 2021 has tires 225/55 R18.
Is it safe to change the tyre size from 225 to 235?

Mine has a set of 235s and have not found any major change to the feel of the ride.
It gives the vehicle a slight lift and a bit more clearance on the front with the big overhang.

I got it for about 17 Lakhs.
Tbh, quite a bit given that it had a lot of issues on the cosmetic and some that Car24 just cheaped out on.
Given the lack of other options in the market (4WD, Automatic, and Diesel), just ok but had to factor in a fair amount of fixes right after the purchase. The previous owners did not look after it well and must have muled it around.

Re: 2020 Hyundai Tucson Facelift Review : 2.0L Diesel with 8-speed AT

@trailsndirt

I'm looking at a low kilometer diesel manual 2016 model registered in 2019. Test drove the vehicle. Clutch suspension looks good. AC is slightly low, wondering what the cost would be to fix that if the condenser coil is an issue. What else should I look out for?

The lights, tyres and dashboard need attention already.

Any pointers would be appreciated

Number of kilometres driven? Dealer or owner? Is it still in warranty? You may want to take the vehicle to an ASC for the checkup

It's hardly done 2000 kms, it's registered to Hyundai Motors India, currently a dealer has it, original tyres with hardly any wear. Have checked the clutch suspension and engine. The car sure hasn't run much cos the Insurance is not active for over a year. Dealer must have picked it up at scrap value. Similar vehicles are there in Cars24.

Brakes need attention - skim the discs and check the pads , AC seemed to be not upto the mark so I'm worried if it's the condenser coil as mentioned.

The car has stood in the sun, headlamps have yellowed, dashboard top needs to be replaced.

It's a manual and hence for me will be chauffeur driven but I'm wondering about resale too.

It must be a test drive vehicle. 2K Kms in 4 years!!! something fishy. I am confused about the 2016 model registered in 2019..You should tread carefully.. how much the dealer is asking?

Any news on the offline Map update for the 2021 Tucson? Some of the newer roads (like BLR-MYS express way) isn't showing in the map
