Thats astonishing considering I get between 7-8 KMPL in regular Bengaluru city Whitefield traffic Tankful-to-Tankful method. I used to get 10-11kmpl in Hyderabad ORR side areas where traffic was relatively sparse compared to Bengaluru. On regular highway roads (not expressways) I never got more than 13 kmpl. I am a sedate driver and have 2022 D-AT 4*4 combo.

I admit I was surprised myself. Infact, I measured it 4 times back to back when tanking up. Same result - the mid 9s.

Would recommend Diesel AT for mileage. Have used in Bangalore traffic with occasional long drives for over 3 years and 27k km, so far not facing DPF issues.

Went with Vibe 4 channel and monoblock micro amplifiers from Mahindra showroom, along with Polk components in doors and Sony subwoofer costing about 45k. It significantly improved imaging and sound quality. Acceptible given the noise due to fiber top.

Re: Mahindra Thar : Official Review

I have just picked up a Black 2023 Petrol AT 4x4, in mint condition, hardly used, everything stock except Cobra Springs, and run only 8k km. Checked it out at Mahindra ASS and it was absolutely spotless. Absolutely loving it! Sometimes I have to double check whether the engine is on because the the MStallion is so quiet. Oh and the power, very linear, very smooth and so dreamy!

This is going to be my daily driver for at least the next 7 years and very much looking forward to it!

It still has the original grill on it and one of the first things I will be doing is changing the grill. Now which one to go for is the question? Can anyone explain the difference between the JK/JL grills? Bimbra or Futurz 4x4 or any other? Would matte black suit a Black Thar or go for body coloured?

Ps. I have already been looking at customising so many things and literally the sky is the limit. Very very excited to work my way through the list of things I'd like to do and make this Thar "mine".
