If am not wrong we have 2 options that I am aware of, one is AVO by Arka Motorsports and one more (forgetting the name now)

Can the users give feedback on the result? I am seriously contemplating upgrading the suspension as apart from me all in the family feel unsure of Thar over rumble strips n alike. Though good for me as no one else takes her unless forced.

I have been following all the posts regarding the suspension modifications on this thread, because for me to buy the Thar, the ride quality has been the biggest dealbreaker.

I was hoping that within a year or 18 months of the launch, Mahindra would itself bring about improvements in the suspension (especially now that we know that AVO etc are able to significantly improve the ride quality)

Does anyone have any information if there is anything like that in the works by Mahindra? Is the company even thinking of this as an issue to be resolved?

OK, my Thar is going to become even more exclusive in the future! IMO, this is one of the best long term colours that suits the Thar very well.

Its an old post, still thought to reply. This has been a common issue with IFS. Just need to adjust the steering stopper a bit, so that the tyres don't foul with the stabiliser bar. Wider tyres normally aggravate this issue.

Even my beauty is Copper colour. Feeling good now as initially I wanted either a Rocky Beige or Red color. However due to some F-Up at dealer level I took delivery of Mystic Copper n happier now 😎

In fact when dusty & muddy this looks just awesome

Mahindra duly acknowledged that the issue was due to faulty steering rack. For me, it was fully replaced under warranty.

A quick query.
Is time to change the wiper blades for me. It's not cleaning well, leaving lines.

So what is the wiper size in Thar?

Re: Mahindra Thar : Official Review

There have been many issues that I've read about the rear DEF tank drain nozzle getting damaged during offroading and the fluid leaking out causing issues.

We had a similar situation with a participant at Learn Offroad the other day and as soon as we noticed the fluid leaking, one person used his finger to stop the flow and then we inserted a tyre puncture repair plug and sealed off the nozzle.

The affected car could drive back 200kms without throwing errors.

So, it's a easy and nifty trick to use in case you are stuck in the wild with this situation. Better than MSeal which takes time to set and can't be pulled out using pliers at the service centre to fix a new cap.

Hope this helps.

Its 16 inch for both. I have been using Bosch Clear Advantage frameless wipers on my Thar since few months. Working well.

Would having a DEF Tank Guard as part of the Underbody-protection kit prevent such damage?

Cheers

Re: Mahindra Thar : Official Review

Has anyone faced a really foul smell from the AC Vents when just the blower is on (AC Off - only fan mode)? I initially thought this was because of surroundings but nope, this happens every time fan is switched on with AC off.

The moment I turn on the AC, everything's back to normal.

There's a quick setting version of MSeal called MSeal Fatafat, although even that version needs about 10-15 minutes to set.

Yes, a must for offroading. The def tank placement without a proper stock guard is a design flaw in my opinion.

The issue here is removal. You will have to drill it or if particles dislodge they can be sucked into the tank and pipes causing blockages further ahead.

Re: Mahindra Thar : Official Review

Just came across one video. This is one set of another changes after the deletions. They moved the switches and added one lock/unlock button.

Also, new brochure shows outside temperature in Console. Can anyone confirm whether it's there or just pictorial representation?

🙃
I measured with a scale. It's 14 inch both side.
