However, it comes at the expense of already heavy steering of Polo becoming heavier, and a severe drop of around 4 points in mileage reflected by MID (yet to verify via tankfull).
Can you please share Tankful mileage you are getting. My stock tyres on GT TSI 1.0 are about to be replaced after successful journey of 46k kms .

Price offered here in (195/55R16) Calicut , Kerala for Turenza 6i is 8800 and Michelin Primacy 4ST 9200.

Please suggest which one should I pick.My primary concerns are Comfort and Handling.

Just want to share a quick update on this.

Apologies for the delay.

I got the steering rack replaced at Ignite and have driven close to 3K Kms and happy to report that the issue is sorted.

Thank you once again @turbohead and others for your suggestion.

Why don't you look at MRF perfinza, they have pretty good reviews everywhere including Tbhp, and cost less as well. Last year I picked a set for 5300rs including WB and WA each, size was 195/60/R15. So even R16 wouldn't me much expensive.

Sorry, not happy with perfinza on my previous polo TDI. Could you please share feedback on Turanza 6i? The other option I am looking for is Continental UC6. Please share feedback if anyone is using it.

75000 KILOMETERS SERVICE:

And my 2021 GT goes for its 75k service. Since the car was running pretty much flawless only the general service took place, with the usual oil and filter changes. The engine has become more audible than before but the SVC folks tell otherwise and I will be getting this checked with outside FNG's. Additionally the passenger side front power window has its own mind during operation and the motor gives a very loud noise while in operation and this was acknowledged but the SVC and will be getting that replaced soon.

The next service at 90k will be a major one for the wear and tear parts and I expect the costs to go sky-high but fingers crossed.

But now I’ve seen a few videos of Slavia 1.0 TSI getting 0w 20 (Longlife FE) engine oil. Apart from worse fuel efficiency is there any point I should be worried about?

Would like to read thoughts of other 1.0 TSI owners. Thank you.

What did you end up with ? I am in a quandary whether to use 0w 20 (Longlife FE) or 5w 40.

Hi,

I have been using Continental Comfort Contact on my 2014 VW Polo, after the original set of tires on Polo, CC5 were put during 2019 and CC6 this year 2024.

I have used Bridgestone, Good Year, Dunlop in past on my different cars in India and abroad.
Continental Tires performance for me has been pretty good. USPs include minimum road noise transfer, good steering feel and control.

Same with me.
Have been using UC6 for the past 6 months on my polo TSI. Road noise has considerably come down. Totally happy with the choice.

I have been going as per the dealership and will stay the same till warranty. VW502 is the minimum grade required for 1.0 TSI.

Here’s what Skoda Rapid 1.0 TSI owner’s
manual says:
Volkswagen Polo 1.0L TSI : Official Review-img_8316.jpeg
(Nothing has been explicitly mentioned in the Polo owner’s manual)

Might try 0W-40 after warranty period.

Re: Volkswagen Polo 1.0L TSI : Official Review

Cross posting from the "VW Polo : Tyre & wheel upgrade thread"

Does anyone here have experience upsizing from the 16" to 17"? Pondering an upgrade from 16" inch Portago alloys to 17" inch Lensos on my 2021 Polo GT TSI.

My car is daily driven in Delhi/NCR (70KM-80KM daily) therefore not sure if 205/45/17 or 215/45/17 will be viable.

I am having trouble sourcing the VW engine oil. I ordered some online and the seller sent me System D (*VW 505) instead of System G! I am thinking of going with Motul X-Cess . It is VW 502 00 complaint; anyone tried it yet?

Why don't you look into Liqui Moly 5W40?

The dealership sold me the Low Tone Horn, Bracket, Wiring Harness and the bolt for Rs. 3000. After drilling the hole, everything was a perfect fit. Now the horn sounds like it should.
Thank you so much for the details regarding the horn. I went to the dealership yesterday and they have no clue when i asked about the wiring harness (in the thumbnail) but they have the low tone horn in stock and quoting a price of 2050 INR. They're trying to sell me a different type of horn which i'm not interested in. I went home and looked at the connectors, the wiring harness you posted is exactly what I need. I searched online as well and couldn't find it either. Do you happen to know any information on how to source it?

Upsizing will make you ride more bumpy. since you are driving 70 km per day, better to stick with 16”.If aesthetic appeal is your primary concern , 17 inch wheel with Michelin Pilot Sport will look fantastic
