Wonderful additions, I must say! Wish we could get them fitted in our cars, especially Steering Controls, Dual Horns and Height Adjustable Driver Seat.
When are these features going to be added? Is there a facelift planned soon?

There's no official word from Renault, and no one in the group knows the authenticity of this news. But I guess, maybe as a 2nd Anniversary update to the lineup they may bring these in soon.

This shade of Brown was even showcased during the Auto Expo in 2020.

Also, got a PDF of all the changes and comparisons as earlier, attaching below:

tmpContent.pdf

Word is that the models produced from March 2021 will have these changes. I hope that's true...

If they could provide a crash test rating from NCAP, it would really make buyers of overpriced Marutis and Hyundais take notice. The Magnite did decently in the Asean NCAP crash test and the Triber being based on a similar platform could also do well. The quality is definitely better than the Kwid.
NCAP rating by far will fetch higher sales to Triber even without the steering mounted audio control & driver adjustable seat (to be launched in few months as per factory sources). Not sure what stops Renault to go for voluntary NCAP like done by TATA for Altroz and Tigor

Steering mounted audio control & driver seat height adjustable are the 2 new additions that will be launched by Jun'21 but with same 1.0L 3 cylinder engine that produces 72PS. If you need VFM, you've to wait till mid of 2022 for Turbo engine.

In continuation, there is a security risk involved in using just the RFID for switching the car on and off, and locking the doors with just the Physical key. That has been addressed in the video below.

Re: Renault Triber : Official Review

Kudos to Renault! I wasn't expecting 4 stars with so much talk on light build quality of Triber.

Looking at Tata, Renualt, Mahindra and Ford, it looks like safety doesn't increase the cost of the car. But Maruti & Hyundai seem to skip it for some reason.

Re: Renault Triber : Official Review

Renault is really gearing up for their future in India with safe and affordable options.
With the Magnite scoring 4 stars we can safely assume the same for Kiger too.

Now the Triber's performance in the crash test(4 stars for adult safety and 3 for child safety) is commendable

Good to see a manufacturer moving towards safer cars for India.

Also, there is a great lesson to learn for Maruti (Ertiga) and Kia (Seltos). Both costing way more than triber but still scoring only 3 stars in adult safety and even worse in child safety

Safety does increase costs. Maruti cuts on safety and thus able sell its cars at VFM prices & also achieve killer fuel efficiencies without dulling the performance. Hyundai/Kia cuts on safety but does not transfer the benefits to customer, instead they charge a bomb in the name of better interiors and features, they are just maximizing their profits and are milking Indians as much as they could, in countries with tighter norms they are acting straight and are providing safer cars at competitive prices, the duo are the most deceptive lot here in India!

Re: Renault Triber : Official Review

4 Starts to the Triber!

On an impressive note, Renault Triber scored 4 stars when put to a crash test with the following features:
1. Dual Air Bags
2. ABS and EBD
3. Driver Seatbelt Pretensioner
4. Front Seat Belt Reminder
5. Rear Parking Sensors and Speed Alert.

Going by the price range, the number of safety features and the crash test rating, Renault is doing good for its Indian buyers; I wonder what is making other market-leading brands not follow the same!

However, the Body Shell was rated to be UNSTABLE.

Re: Renault Triber : Official Review

Congratulations to renault for this amazing feat .
This really came as a surprise to me , though underpowered , triber is an excellent choice for someone who wants a VFM family hauler and this news has made it not only VFM but also very safe .

One of my friends have a triber and boy the clever engineering that went into making this vehicle spacious and a pleasure to look at is really commendable.
One again, Kudos to renault for this marvelous feat.

Four star adult crash test performance for Renault Triber

The Renault Triber has achieved an encouraging four star rating for adult occupants and three stars for child occupants in Global NCAP’s latest round of #SaferCarsForIndia crash tests.

Renault’s new compact crossover was tested in its most basic safety specification, with two airbags. The Triber showed significant improvements from previous Renault models tested by Global NCAP.
