You should have got a separate receipt for the extended warranty payment. If you did and have retained it then you can challenge the dealership to enter it in the system now or pay for the damages.

Learnt it the hard way. This is only my second new car. The first one was a creta . I did use the extended warranty to replace my AC compressor but I never faced any such challenges then. This was a lapse on my part that I assumed that the dealership would have punched it in the
Kia system.

Kia have told that they are not going to help.

The problem is finally resolved. I had to escalate it multiple times on social media and finally their backend team did 'something'. Most likely my sim was blocked by Vi or traffic was blocked by Kia Connect servers. They just did a reset of AVNT, which they did multiple times previously too, and the problem disappeared. I am now able to connect to the car via Kia Connect app.

So, looks like unless you scream on top of your voice on social media, Kai doesn't care.

My Kia connect is about to expire next month and was wondering what is the best way to get RSA only as I don't feel the need to renew Kia connect as I am not using those features.

I am planning to renew with KIA safety insurance (from dealer) so not sure if they have option to add RSA there. Please suggest what other options I have.

RSA can be obtained from any insurance provider right? I approached multiple insurance companies and went for the best deal.
If we go through Kia its usually overpriced. Since, they have their own commission to include as well i guess.

Hi All,

I have a Kia Seltos that's a 2022 model GTX+ Diesel AT. Has anyone considered changing the infotainment system on their cars? If so then kindly help me with a review. Is it as seamless as the stock? I dont want to make any modifications but there are a few reasons (listed below) why I am looking to get an android system. Suggestions for a good system will be helpful.

Reasons to get a new infotainment system:

1) The inbuilt maps aren't accurate, doesn't re-route and has lots of places missing. Work around is to use the coordinates but that's usually not feasible. And there is nothing that can be done for the re-routing.
2) it has wired android auto (no wireless android auto ) which heats up the phone. Using a dongle for wireless AA also doesn't help. my older phone battery got inflated because of the heating problem for wireless android auto. I sometimes drive from Pune to Kerala so the heating problem can literally cause damage to the phone for such long drives.
3) For a work around, i got a Carlinkit TBOX ambient and used it as a standalone apple carplay system. Now thisCchinese device is kind of weird. I mean its an android system that works through android car play. It worked fine for a while and then suddenly there was some weird metallic burning smell so i disconnected it. The whole infotainment system froze up and nothing was working, not even the 360 degree camera.

I started the car the next day and the system started working fine.
And now i am back to driving with the inbuilt system. I really like the in-built system if only it weren't for the inaccurate navigation maps.

Is it just my car or has anyone else experienced this. Any advice/suggestions?

Ohkk. This will need some enquiring. As per my knowledge, it has to be part of a comprehensive plan. Its not available seperately. Reach out to the insurance companies. They will be happy to provide info if they see a potential customer. 😅

By the way, any insurance that kia provides will come with additional add ons (including rsa). These are the same as the ones you get outside kia. I think you are looking for the features what kia connect provides i.e. the buttons on the rearview mirror for SOS and car towing buttons. If thats the case then thats just part of the kia connect. Its a different set of features. If you do not subscribe the sim connectivity wont work. I do not know how it integrates with the insurance plan but i suggest researching a bit more on this. Kia service centers wont oblige with proper info as it means losing subscribers to their services.

Kia sells RSA also, partnered with Allianz, I bought it with Kia Connect at 10% discount.
Basic RSA cost for 3yrs -- 3499/
Kia Connect for 3 yrs -- 3490/

I called and confirmed with Advaith Kia, RSA can be bought without buying Kia Connect. They issue RSA certificate after making payment with the details of coverage.
Note: I bought it for KIA Sonet

Thank you for the deailed response. I am planning to just stick with Kia safety insurance for the first 5 years at least. I am just looking to get RSA at a cheaper price. Not really into the smart features of Kia connect.

Kia themselves offer RSA only plan, per the information that I got but they seem to be little on the expensive side 3 years for 3499. Checking if there are any better options available.

I paid Total 6635/ (Kia Connect - 3490 and RSA Basic - 3145)

Yes, Just RSA Basic is 3499, but Advaith KIA gave me 10% discount on that.
