tl;dr, Pride Honda (Madhapur, Hyd) is charging 5k for logistics and 12k for so called 'Basic Accessory Kit'. Can I refuse to pay these charges?
-Sundaram Honda (Secunderabad) is charging 12k for 'Basic Kit' (I think both dealers offer this same Kit) and an absurd 34k for Signature Spoiler Kit. Shocking thing is this kit is not even a part of the 'optionals' section in the price sheet.
Hello, You can also try Green Honda LB Nagar, I agree, it's on the other side of the city. Do give it a try, we are negotiating for a Honda City for my cousin at Green Honda.

My VVenue comes with MRF Wanderers, and the spare is an Apollo Alnac 4G.

Thanks
I had a very bad experience with MRF Wanderer; my parents had back issues, etc, so I went with Conti UC6, and the difference is huge! Super soft ride and comfort. I checked a Venue with Bridgestone Turanza 001 that did not have the comfort of Conti.

Re: Hyundai Venue : Official Review

I have Venue turbo IMT. I was outside and the battery died today but was able to jump start the car with the help of a mechanic.

I started driving and came to a stop at a traffic signal and put the car in neutral. But to my shock, the gear box was stuck and wouldn't move, try whatever I could. This happened very near to my place. With the help of traffic policemen, they pushed the car and was able to coast to my house since it was downhill and parked. I took a chance and restarted the car and the gear box started working again.

Has anybody experienced something similar? What could be the reason? My car is nearing 4 years and 40+k kms old.

Re: Hyundai Venue : Official Review

To all Venue 1.2 S owners, Whats the real time fuel economy are you guys experiencing after long term use?

Its been 5 years and 35K kms for our Venue which has been 80% driven in city.

Due to Traffic and Speed Limits I usually tend to keep it below 1.5K RPM and around 50-60 kmph most of the time and have been seeing fuel economy of 16-17 kmpl (Although display showcases 18-20 kmpl) not that I am unhappy with fuel economy but just wanted to check what other owners are experiencing?

Re: Hyundai Venue : Official Review

-To owners of Pre facelift venue (2019-21) :
Did you get any update of the SOFTWARE, FIRMWARE, NAVI APP (maps) in the AVN Touchscreen? or did anyone tried updating separately or is it the same right from the purchase?

In my case I see an 'update available' at settings->About version option in AVN.

Is it an automatic or manual ??

Cheers !

Hyundai Venue SX+ DCT 2021.
3 Years 30,000KM Update.

Mostly trouble free ownership experience so far.

Usage- 80% Highway runs. 20% City.

Current FE - City 12KMPL , Highway 16-17KMPL

Niggles-
  1. ‘Gurrrrr’ sound from AC unit after engine on and off. Service center claimed it as known issue of AC mode actuator and replaced it under warranty.
  2. Continuous rattling noise from Sunroof. Service center blamed it on dashcam wire hitting against metal pillars . Bought a silicone spray and applied generously over the rubber lining and noise has disappeared.
  3. Rear passenger side power window button stopped working, yet to be fixed.
  4. Air purifier stopped working, not going to get it replaced as its an useless accessory. Would rather use that cavity as a bottle holder
  5. Headlight fogging due to pressure wash right after a long night drive , yet to be fixed.

Had purchased extended warranty till 5th year , further extended it till 7 year and 1Lakh KM.

Renewed BlueLink subscription as free 3 year period got over.

Can please you share a bit more on overall installation process of the additional horn ?

Re: Hyundai Venue : Official Review

Hi, I did this for the venue some time ago at Auto Style Koramangala, Bangalore. I removed the existing one and installed a new set of dual horns from Hella. They used a relay and did the wiring. Overall, it was a simple process, but there was no coupler; it was done with wire skinning.

Re: Hyundai Venue : Official Review

Hey, need some help!

A good friend of mine owns Hyundai Venue 2019 Turbo DCT.

His check-engine light turns on intermittently.

The pick up from 0 - 20 or 0 - 30 happens fine. The problem shows up when accelerating beyond that - at that point it's usually in 3rd gear. As you press down the accelerator, the rpm goes up to a point, but the speed doesn't increase much - it increases very slowly. Meanwhile, the rpm maxes out at around 3000 even though you floor the pedal.

He has even tried flipping to manual at this point and downshifting or upshifting manually. That doesn't help improve the power delivery or acceleration.

There is no correlation between the check engine light, and the power delivery problem. Often the power delivery is fine even though engine light is on. And vice versa happens too.

The service advisor ran some diagnostics, but brushed it off as a poor fuel quality issue. My friend is not convinced that this is the root cause.

The issue looks similar to this post - https://www.facebook.com/story.php?s...809862619&_rdr

Has anyone faced this issue? What do you think could be the root-cause, and how does my friend get his issue across at the service center? Appreciate any advice.

I have an i20 N Line DCT. And, it’s the same combination engine + tranny. I was worried about such issues as well and read on many such issues around this combo/larger sibling to it as well(I’m talking Creta/Seltos.

Visit a different service center and get the fuel pump checked, DCT health evaluated, and any relevant actuators/sensors checked. The observations looks to be either fuel quality related, transmission related or sensor related to me. A faulty sensor can also cause weird unexplainable issues.

Re: Hyundai Venue : Official Review

Can anyone explain why Venue/Sonet NA engines are not offered with fully-automatic transmission? The only option is Turbo engine with DCT.

The Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet are designed to cater to different customer preferences and market demands. The naturally aspirated (NA) engines in these models are typically paired with manual transmissions to keep the cost lower and offer a more affordable option for budget-conscious buyers, their purpose is to serve as an entry point, the automatics are mostly paired with the top-end trims of these models which are also mostly available with Turbo Petrol or Diesel. Moreover, the same engine does duty on the Grand i10, Exter and i20 which can be had with AMT or CVT transmissions.

Thanks- agree.
The crucial objective of an OEM is to increase ticket size. Wouldn't offering this combination as another option nudge top-trim hatchback buyers to entry level SUVs?

It is an option worth considering but Hyundai and Kia already have good sales from their current portfolio, moreover in the SUV space, the turbo engines have seen more demand so they might not have felt the need to offer a cheaper automatic alternative on the N.A. versions.

However cheaper options from Renault (Kiger), Nissan (Magnite), Suzuki (Fronx), Toyota (Taisor) with N.A. AMTs have done well in terms of sales, so an N.A. IVT Venue or Sonet could do well if priced right.

To eliminate the benefit of doubt, Try to reproduce the same issue. See if the existing fuel can be removed/drained and refill fuel again from different pump station --> record it.
See if the same is observed again. If yes, then it should not be related with fuel and something else. This helps pushing SA further to check on other aspects.
