I am really inclined towards the venue, but i do not like those Alloy's design. I have seen a Venue with MOMO revenge gun metal, and OMG, the car looks so good. Will wait and see what the Kia counterpart will look like and take a call.

XUV 300 Diesel 0-100 in 11:85 seconds. (https://www.autocarindia.com/car-com...parison-413662)

Kia Seltos 11:67 (Autocar https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/attac...0325wa0163.jpg)

And this is a Kia Seltos with a VGT putting out 115 BHP, unlike the Venue which will get a FGT and 100 BHP. (And only a 5 speed transmission as opposed to a 6 speed in the Seltos)

So while the Venue will easily become the number 3 Hot Diesel Crossover, the top 2 (XUV300 and the EcoSport) shouldnt really be bothered.

Autocar mentions this as based on modified i20 platform which makes sense considering its size. The US spec isn't all that different in its dimensions , therefore chances are it is the same as what is sold in India.

The Venue as well as the upcoming new Indian i20 both are built on the Santro’s K1 platform. So in that sense, yes, the Venue is on a modified i20 platform. However, this must not be confused with the international i20, which has completely different underpinnings.

Are you sure the 1.5D in Venue comes with a 5 speed? That would be surprising considering that the older 1.4 CRDi came with a 6 speed transmission.

No, I'm unfortunately not. Its a guess on my part. I may be wrong, though. On second thoughts, and doing a bit more more research, I probably will.

I can see the 6 speed MT listed in the brochure for the 1.5 U2 CRDi (image in attachment). Besides, Hyundai has always been ahead of others in the segment on features so I don't think they would compromise on this.

Seltos gets 115ps. Venue 100ps.
Seltos gets 250Nm of torque. Venue 245Nm.

The numbers are rather favourable for the Venue actually, because the weight difference between the two cars should be more than 150kgs (though Hyundai remains silent about weight figures) thus giving a favourable power to weight and much better torque to weight ratios for the Venue.

Of course gearing, turbo lag, engine tune - all matters. So we can't really be sure unless the numbers are out.

This grille looks a bit better. But the colour combination is just hideous. The black and green combo reminds me of Ola's theme colours

Re: Hyundai Venue : Official Review

I'm not sure if you found out whether you have a TPMS. I took delivery of an SX(O) BSVI Venue this month. And going through the user manual and vehicle information using the VIN, the Venue has a low line TPMS system. You would be able to see the TPMS light in the instrument cluster when the car starts up. Hope this helps.

Re: Hyundai Venue : Official Review

Got my Venue delivered today. Its an SX+ DCT variant in Denim Blue. Will put up a concrete ownership thread once I do a few miles on it. Upgrading from a Baleno RS and initial impressions are great. The quality of the materials used and the total car feels better put altogether.
This is the updated model with low line TPMS and alternator management system(AMS).

Coming from a 1.0 Turbo petrol manual to a 1.0 Turbo petrol automatic and I hope I can put out a solid comparison between the two. Initial impressions are that the midrange is twice better on Venue compared to the Baleno’s Boosterjet. Initial lag is prominent on the Venue, but makes it up as soon as the RPM crosses ~1700rpm. The manual mode is explosive as well. More to follow. Stay safe everyone

Congrats on your new ride Xaos! The 1.0L turbo mated to the DCT is a hoot to drive.
Looking forward to your ownership review as you are in a much better position to the compare the two turbo motors. Also your thoughts on the jump from Premium Hatch to Sub C-SUV comparison is to look forward to.

Wish you many beautiful miles ahead!
Happy Motoring.

Hello Anurag. Quoting a old post here.
Hope your ride is going strong and you are having blissfull experience. I wanted to know about its performance in various driving scenarios like highways, overtaking manourves, mall ramps, ghat sections etc. How much toll does AC takes on its performance. What is its real world mileage in city and on highways. All this you can tell with respect to your old ride.
Thanks in advance, drive safe.
