Mine is with 215/50 R17 and still continuing with Stock tyres of Yokohama Advan Db, which I am planning to change. Since you already upsized to 225/50 R16, I am just thinking if I can do the same change with R17.

What I am finding is with 225, we have lot of options in Market including Continental, whereas with 215, we have very limited options like Michelin Primacy 4ST.

So my question is the following , in terms of 225/50 R17:-

-Will it hit the Wheel Wells?
-What about Fuel Economy?
-Steering getting heavier and other adverse effect.

Thanks

No it doesnt.

-What about Fuel Economy?
Its unaffected. 12 for city and 15-16 for highway

-Steering getting heavier and other adverse effect.
Steering is as smooth as always

I personally like broader tyres, so upsized to 225. I didnt find any difference in handling or ride quality owing to upsizing. But Continental tyres are far better as compared to stock Hankooks wrt noise levels as it has gone down drastically. I believe Advan DB are anyways silent on road so not sure if you will experience any difference changing to a Continental. So make your own choice.

Thanks for your prompt feedback.
With Yokohama Advan DB, with 20K+ run now, I am finding lot of noise. They were a lot quiter, but I think this has really hardened in last 2-3k and hence the noise.
I am still exploring all possible options and finalize by next month.

Re: Honda Civic : Official Review

I just completed a ~4,000KM drive from Mumbai - Udaipur - Delhi - Shimla - Chandigarh - Delhi - Kota - Dahod - Tarapur - Mumbai over the last few days.

The Civic was simply fantastic. Be it the Delhi Mumbai Expressway or National/State Highways or tricky Village Roads or Crater Central (NH48 from Mumbai to Bhahuch), the Civic handled every type of road well. Ground clearnance was adequate despite the boot being fully loaded. The car's a looker, so got many people asking about it even though it is 4 years old -- Tier 2/3 towns don't have the new Civic, so people get curious.

The only issue I had was the stock Yoko Advan DB's are getting old and making excessive noise, especially over concrete roads. My AC coil also seems to have developed leaks, and they're replacing it under warranty.

The things I am trying to get done to further enhance my car experience:

1. Tyre replacement: Michelin Primacy 4ST or Continental UC 6. Which one would you recommend?
2. Speaker replacement: Any suggestions? I need better base plus punchier sound than base speakers.

Also, here are some pictures from the trip:

Did you end up finalizing, I have the Advan's too. Also did you explore damping while changing tyres?

Re: Honda Civic : Official Review

Anyone has this weird issue of central AC vents pointing upwards by themselves at low fan speeds even if they are manually made to point downwards? At higher fan speeds, there is some manual control over them.

@Dead_Pedal If you are in Bengaluru, could you please let me know where you got this done?

Wrapstyle Bengaluru, Hebbal outlet(now shut). Not sure if other outlets if any, are operational anymore.
