Not sure if this is true or not, but hope it comes with hybrid tech if and when it arrives.
Could you please share which dealer and when is it expected in which month ? I’m on the lookout for a new CRV or whether to buy a preowned too. Thanks.

This was from Vision Honda in Cochin, Kerala. They claimed it would come "by end of 2024". But I wouldn't place too much hope in this given that we have not seen any spy shots or other buzz.

So there was an Autocar India report few months ago that Honda India will adopt a strategy to do low volume high priced imports like Skoda does but there was no timeline given.

I’m currently in the conundrum to buy a used CRV or wait for new one considering there’s no clarity despite asking higher ups at Landmark Honda as they have no clarity themselves.

They’re only expecting new amaze and a hybrid elevate next year.

That's about the Honda 3RA right ? To quote Autocar :
"Also on the cards at a later date is the bigger 3RA – Honda’s midsize SUV. Expected to hit the market sometime in early 2024, it is likely to be 4.3m long, use Honda’s new electronic architecture and screen system, and share its powertrain with the new City, City diesel and City hybrid. Using a diesel here is important, as 50 percent of buyers in the Creta segment still buy diesel. And if Honda can also offer a localised version of the City Hybrid’s powertrain, it could have another very efficient version. This is another strong possibility; remember that Toyota and Maruti will also be in the market by the end of the year with a strong hybrid. Boot space for this hybrid version, however, could be impacted, as it is in the case of the Honda City Hybrid, and using a hybrid drive system will also push the price up. What Honda will also have to do is give its larger SUV a unique character. Sources say Honda is evaluating three-row, 6- and 7-seater variants as well, for a wider appeal."

This still seems to be a new crossover but not the next CR-V.

Hi guys I am getting a CRV 2019 diesel with 40k odo at 18 lakh. Is the price justifiable? How is spare part costing?

Seems like a decent price maybe try to negotiate a lakh or so more. Great car for the price. Not sure how the diesel engine is, I have the petrol and its very smooth. Spares aren't expensive.

If anyone has Diesel CRV, it would be really helpful to get some insights.

Re: Honda CR-V : Official Review

Happened to check out a few 2019 CR-V Petrol. While the space inside is HUGEEE..., the only let down was the rear doors - they were lifeless [unlike European which inspire safety confidence]. The Rear Doors were so light that if I left it, it would barely even be close to shutting.
It is a little difficult to explain in words - but asking - is this the case with all CR-V.
Peculiar light weight rear doors [observed in 2-3 2019 models]

Also I am getting a 2019, 1L on the ODO run CR-V at around 15.5L with service record.

Is it worth opting for the CR-V. The other alternative [ Thar 5DR ...long awaited or SCORPIO N Petrol]

While all are gas guzzlers, i believe M&M provides a sense of safety - Resale will be dead low for all 3 models in their Petrol avatar.

Please suggest

I own the diesel awd variant and the door heft was at par with it's segment when I brought it in 2019. E.g. Tucson, Compass, Octavia.

The petrol version was around 33L on road Mumbai in 2019 if I remember, so that's an ok price to be honest. Maybe a bit negotiable due to 1L running. However the petrol fuel efficiency might be between 8-10 kmpl overall. It's quite a reliable NA engine as well. Look out for any upcoming expenses for tyres, battery, brake pads, cvt fluid changes around that mileage.

Personally I feel the ride quality is much plusher in the CRV than the alternatives you have mentioned.

Re: Honda CR-V : Official Review

I've now completed the 100k mark. Can't really find any difference in running apart from seat noise from the front seats which as per Honda are usual wear noise and hence not addressable. It does get irritating since the cabin is a little quiet though i do feel there is a slight increase in engine noise in the cabin now (or maybe its psychological since i keep looking at the odometer) lol

Another thing on the verge of giving up is one of the horns but again Honda could not find fault with it inspite of sharing a video wherein one horn stopped working for a bit but as per the service centre it could not be admitted in warranty since there was no proof its the horn from the same car as mine. (Pretty rich seeing the number of Crv's on the road) but its been working again so i've let it be as of now.

Warranty is now over since it just crossed the 5 year mark too in the middle of this month. Let's hope I continue having the same niggle free experience for sometime more to come.

Congrats on the milestone!

Can you check whether it is from the seats itself, or from the seatbelt bracket holders? Applying WD40 on the seatbelt bracket and adding lubricants on the seat railing can help alleviate the situation.
For our Civic, it was the seatbelt bracket that was giving the occasional creaking sound, which went away with the help of WD40

Unfortunately it isn't. I had brought it to the attention of the dealership at first and after persistent followup they sent a video of the issue to Honda and it was Honda who responded with their observation. Ofcourse 5 years is a long time so i am learning now to live with it.

Re: Honda CR-V : Official Review

The annoying squeaking noise is from the seat belt buckle socket. I have a Civic and I had the same problem on the driver's side. The car was under warranty then and I recorded a video of it, showed it to the dealership and got the part replaced under warranty at no cost. The noise usually came when I moved a bit on the seat. It was an annoying unlubricated hinge kind of a noise. Should be similar on the CR-V. Big cousin brother afterall.

Have the exact same issue on my City 2014, Honda asked me to replace the complete seat belt buckle mechanism, living with it

Will try out the WD40 spray an see if it helps

Re: Honda CR-V : Official Review

Any ideas on what is a fair price for a 2014 2.4 AT 4wd (non AVN) in good condition? Location: Pune/Mumbai

Anything in particular to check for before buying? It is 10 years old which does worry me but as a 2nd car for the house would it be a good choice? Plan is for limited running of less than 5k a year.

Thanks!
