There are too many questions so thanks in advance for your precious time
If i may answer some of this.
1: It's perfectly comfortable in such kind of roads, infact it's suspension isn't much worse than Hexa, that speaks something.

2: The head lamp is much better than the H4 installed ones, yes i have upgraded the high beam to philips extra vision, they may not proportionately increase, but it definitely improves with minimum tinkering.

3: AC is super effective, other than the summer, one doesn't need to use the rear AC, but i also have 80% visible sunfilm, they do help & are present in my all vehicles, i have been using them since 2009 & can vouch for the effectiveness.

4: My mother in law is on wheelchair, & needs a small stool of 3 inches height to get into the second row, knowingly i haven't out foot rest, as it compromises the ground clearance.

5: I have driven this vehicle extensively in Himalayas, been to Mussorie, & Rishikesh multiple times & couple of trips to Lucknow, & it has performed brilliantly.

I find it more comfortable to drive than my
i 10 grand diesel.

IMHO, do take an extensive test ride, if possible take a subscription one, it's a solid upgrade for someone who had been driving Ertiga zdi, 5 yrs back.
NB: i have marazzo M8, driven around 9k .

Re: Mahindra Marazzo : Official Review

Recently I went to Puri and noticed a very unusual thing. My car was parked outside the hotel. In Diwali night people used firecracker near my car, from each sound my car security system warning alarm gotactivated. After 2 minutes the alam sounds goes off. For information I installed security system with alarm installed from outside.

Did anybody experience the same

Re: Mahindra Marazzo : Official Review

I'm egging on a colleague to consider the Marazzo base variant since it has the bare basic safety kit included and it comes at a honest pricing (still). He tried asking for a test drive and they turned him down saying there's no car available. I then intervened and directly arranged a test drive by calling the dealer's sales manager. I will accompany my colleague on the test drive and update my impressions here.

This experience though brought back memories of my own unsuccessful TUV 300 test drive requests back in December 2017. I had finally shot off a SMS to the appropriate sales rep that sounded a lot like Liam Neeson in "Taken" ("I don't know what you have in mind, all I know is I want a TUV and I will probably buy it. It is in your best interest to provide me with a test drive. Let me know what you decide by 6 PM today.") I got my test drive by 5 PM that day.

Weird much? Yeah. I have already welcomed my colleague to the world of Mahindra where every serve he's going to get is a curveball.

Due to time constraints at work, my friend alone drove as I took the front passenger seat. I loved the curvy seat as it conformed to the curvature of my back.

My friend had the following observations-
* the engine's refinement and pickup deserved special mention
* he felt that the brakes were spongy upon hard braking
* we both felt abrupt bodyroll whenever he took aggressive lane changes or turns. When he took the same turns rather passively, there was no semblance of bodyroll.
* the suspension sure does a lot of work. Only the more pronounced humps on the road were felt inside.
* the 2nd row captain seats were okayish; but I'm 6'4"....very few seats suit me! My friend is happy with the 2nd row seats

The base M2 variant can be had for ~11.4 lacs on the road. The Marazzo is definitely in the race for his car purchase.

That's a common complaint with any aftermarket installation, even OEM once can go off due to firecrackers.
Nothing to worry.

Will complete 1 year of ownership on November 4th of a Marazzo M8.
After 15000 kms and putting it in a wide variety of road conditions, I'm pleased to say there are no niggles so far. I wasn't expecting that from a Mahindra, as I had heard stories of XUV500. It feels very well put together. Give it a good cleaning from the inside as well and it almost feels like new!

Re: Mahindra Marazzo : Official Review

Just saw this Dehradun registered Marazzo M2 variant in Mussoorie undergoing testing.

Had an "Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. On Test" sticker on the rear windshield and U162 written on the sides. Did not emit any black smoke even while coming up from Mullingar or going towards Lal Tibba. I presume it was the Petrol model. Did not seems under powered at all. Picked up nicely from a standstill on a very steep incline more than once.

OR - Maybe it was a BSVI compliant 1.5L Diesel under test with a DPF working really as it should! Its expected that the BSVI diesel engines would not throw out a much visible soot (black smoke's main constituent).

Quite possible that M&M is working on a petrol Marazzo but the fuel efficiency of that heavy car with a petrol engine will put it at quite a disadvantage compared to the MS XL6. I don't think a heavy Marazzo can give Maruti mileage with any petrol engine.

My money is on the test mule being a BSVI diesel one, running BSVI diesel filled up in NCR.

To the credit of Mahindra and Marrazo i have not seen a single Marrazo emitting black smoke even on hard acceleration.

Sure, possible. That's also aided by the really low number of Marazzos actually seen on roads. What a shame considering its really an excellent vehicle.

The smoke depends on the driving style & conditions a lot. I have seen a few giving typical diesel outputs. In fact, the smoke isn't necessarily thrown on hard acceleration only (in any diesel engine). If a driver tends to actually upshift early & then lug at lower RPMs, diesel engines do give out a lot of soot output. Especially in shifts from 1st to 2nd gear.

And here I was, thinking "why have all the Marazzos that I've seen emitted so much soot?" So yeah, we'll chalk it down to the variables that Reinhard has listed. So you've probably been seeing "optimized" Marazzo drivers and I've probably only ever seen soot hungry Marazzo drivers.

Re: Mahindra Marazzo : Official Review

I must say the high beams on the Marazzo are remarkable. A Marazzo (coincidentally) kept following me for a good 1 hour from Mumbai to Pune last night on the e-Way. The high beams really burnt through my mirrors and eyes. They are very bright and focused very sharp. Will surely make people give way or switch to low beams when flashed at oncoming cars.

Welcome to the forum Mansoor bhai. See you around. Congratulations on the Marazzo! Do post a nice ownership report in your thread when possible. A well loaded M8. Nice choice for a very practical & capable car.
