I have a bit of a tight budget and the car will be used rather sparingly (38k km in 7 years).
I'd like to keep a per tyre budget of below 6k.
What would be the best options.
Note: It rains quite a bit where I live and roads resemble streams during the rains, so wet grip would be a concern.
The current GoodYear Assurance tyres were decent but had issues with balancing around 20k km which gradually diminished.
I have replaced the stock goodyear assurance with Bridgestone Sturdo an year back. Quite happy with them and no issues in the last one year.
Also they are around your budget with couple of hundreds more(got for 6300 with replacement charges).

I got a couple of quotes for Yokohama Earth 400 series at 5600 per tyre and Continental CC6 for 5700 per tyre.
The Bridgestone Dealer offered Sturdo at 6500 per tyre.
I believe the Yokos should be good enough for my usage, but any real world comparison/ experience would be welcome.

All three tyres have their fan base for sure. But I have done an impossible drive to North Sikkim with Yokohama Earth 1 and My Aspire TDCi and I am certainly mighty impressed with its performance. Worst possible road conditions or high-speed highway stability or those panic braking, in all aspect, it is very impressive.

If you wish, you may refer here on my experience about the drive, conditions and my experience with Yokohama earth 1 -> https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/offic...ml#post5959442 (Ford Aspire : Official Review)

Thanks.
