I immediately went to Skoda showroom as its nearby my office. Turns out it was just sticky stuff of protective sheet that remained since i got my car. They simply used a strong liquid and wiped it off. Need to have a chat with my car washer as well

Car washer probably was scared already that blame comes on him or wasn't going full strong on new car.
I have those kinda marks on roof rails. When I figured it was from stickers, I let it be as it is not that much visible.

Re: Skoda Kodiaq : Official Review

The Kodiaq has been removed from the Skoda India website. Probably will be updated with the BS6 2.0 TSI?

The only four models in the lineup are

NEW RAPID
OCTAVIA RS 245
NEW SUPERB
ALL NEW KAROQ

Zac Hollis confirms in a tweet, the 2.0 TSI Kodiaq will come only by end of the year or early 2021. Theyre gonna launch the Karoq and Superb facelift with some exciting offers. RS 245s are available subject to cancellations.

This sounds very scary. I wonder what could be the reason for this. Hope tbhp kodiaq owners are paying attention to this. I don't remember seeing any complaints about Kodiaq on this forum.

Re: Skoda Kodiaq : Official Review

Any advice on upgrading the sound system in the Kodiaq. I have a 2.5 yr old Kodiaq, and I some times miss the oomph of my old Endeavour's custom sound system - Amp, better door speakers & a bass speaker in the back.

TIA

While the problem is scary, it heartening to see that the first response to the post is from the head of Skoda India.

Got a message from AnandB on the Karoq thread wherein I had mentioned about my friends Kodiaq which was tuned to 190 bhp via Petes. It was done almost a year ago and his was one of the first Kodiaq to be done in Bangalore.

He got it done in Bangalore for a cost of 25k approx and I am sure almost all the Petes certified tuners would do the same for the Kodiaq. It now churns out a 190 bhp figure and is much more nicer to drive with 4-5 people on board. Any more info needed I will more than happy to help.

Re: Skoda Kodiaq : Official Review

Thanks @prasadathani. In Raipur we have Quantum Tuning remap and i had inquired about my Santa Fe in early December just before we got our Kodiaq. And after reading your post and i am wondering about tuning my Kodiaq as i miss the power of my Santa Fe.

My main question is a general one. Does it void warranty and is it 100% safe?

I was running a TOT map on my Skoda Laura (post warranty) before i sold it to a friend and bhpian who used it too till he just sold the car. The remaps are safe and reliable but you will lose warranty for sure.

Skoda, through the use of the updated ODIS software module is able to see if any changes have been made to the stock power file. From the information that i gather, this is not an automatic option when they connect it to the car to run a general scan but has to be specifically done. If you feel you have the risk appetite to let go off the 4 year standard warranty (6, if extended), you can go ahead with the remap. I have the 6 year warranty on my Octavia with pretty much the same engine and plan to wait till it runs out in October 2022 before going the remap way for a slightly better driving experience.

Cheers
Rohan

Kodiaq will come in Apr-May 2021 but only with the 2L TSI petrol same as the one in the Facelifted Superb, VW Tiguan Allspace and Audi Q2.

No more diesels from the VW group (Skoda and Audi included) in India.

Yes. that is the official line. But I was hoping that they will eventually reintroduce diesel (190 bhp one) though they will be starting with petrol..
