Re: Skoda Kodiaq : Official Review

Members with their Kodiaqs can help me out here.

We have an Ocy L&K and when using the keyless entry, when the handle is gripped and button pressed it first unlocks driver's side then pressing again immediately unlocks all doors. Simply pressing the button without any grip locks the car. I can't seem to replicate the same in my Kodiaq specifically unlocking all doors. The driver unlock and whole lock works as Octy but to unlock all doors have to take out the key or use the button under the centre console. Is it the same on other Kodiaqs?

Re: Skoda Kodiaq : Official Review

I tried, I did not work like this.
There are three options in the central unlocking section.
1) Single Door
2) Driver Side
3) All Doors

You can use one of them.

Hey Anand! Congrats on your new car! The Kodiaq has a capacitive touch system where you unlock the vehicle by gripping the handle. To lock, it requires you to tap the outside (there is an indentation for reference). Note : You don't need to press the indentation at all while unlocking.

There's two ways to unlock all doors using keyless entry :

1. If you want all the doors to unlock when you grip the door handle, you can change the door lock/unlock settings in the infotainment. This menu can be accessed by clicking on the 'CAR' feather-touch button on the audio system.

2. In case you don't want to change the setting and want only one door to unlock (For safety reasons) - Grip the door handle twice in quick succession to unlock all doors i.e. Like you're unlocking the car twice.

Hope this helps.

Re: Skoda Kodiaq : Official Review

Thanks. I assumed the outside button was used for unlocking as well but today tried just grip and twice to unlock all doors and it worked as you said.

I don't think the Kodiak will do too well in an OTR. But you can load it at IKEA.

Re: Skoda Kodiaq : Official Review

Skoda is sold out for L&K variant and only few in Scout are left. They have enough inventories of style though. L&K here in North was sold with Discount of about 4 Lac and on Scout, it's more like a Lac or so.

Re: Skoda Kodiaq : Official Review

Hello, I have been reading this thread since past 3 months as I'm evaluating between two SUVs Toyota Fortuner and Skoda Kodiaq. I have finally shortlisted on the Skoda Kodiaq Style variant. I was discussing the commercials with the dealer and he mentioned that the car available is May 2019 manufactured.

Please advice if I can go ahead with May 2019 manufactured car, are there any issues, if not any particular red flags in inspection check I should be worried and decide accordingly.

Will really appreciate your suggestion as I'm very close to finalising.

Re: Skoda Kodiaq : Official Review

Hi, I took a delivery of a Kodiaq in Dec and it was a May 19 manufactured. No issues found during PDI and all good so far.

If you see the previous posts on this thread you will find that its about right the way the kits are manufactured and imported except for Scout which you will get a later one due to its launch date.

Hope the above helps in clearing your mind as I was in the same dilemma in Nov when I booked mine and got the Vin no. from the dealer.

Issues with the kodiaq continue- Is it only me??
Now it's fogging of the headlights as I mentioned earlier there was permanent haze which developed on inside of both headlights and fog lamps in my year old L&K kodiaq.
I had asked for replacement under warranty and got a replacement done. But to my surprise the brand new headlights are even more worse they are fogging up real bad even with normal 20 degree temp with water dew in city driving. I will post pics.
I am surprised that no one in the forum had any issues and only praises for the kodiaq but how much ever i try to convince myself that this is one very good SUV it still keeps disappointing me in one way or the other.
I have asked them to replace the head lights again.
First two pics are of original headlights and next two are after replacement. However after replacement the fogging is drying up by next day morning. But this is unacceptable as I drive a seltos and 20+ year sieerra in the same conditions and they never fogged up.

The order of pics has changed in the app. The lights which appear worse are after replacement.

I'd be just as concerned as you are. This cannot be normal and will inevitably affect the delicate LED hardware and/or the reflectors themselves.
